Must say I really enjoyed this movie. Watched it at the cinema on the huge screen with volume cranked way up. Yes there were some boring bits but, overall, really entertaining. The music was fantastic especially the final scenes at the Live Aid gig...wow, it was the best footage of the enormous crowd on that day. Although I was never a fan of Queen, I must admit after watching the movie, they churned out plenty of classic songs. Go see it....and by the way, even Rick Parfitt makes an appearance..but don't blink as you may miss it.

Actually,Tony @bluehighway there were parts of the movie I was thinking about the massive high you guys would’ve got when it all clicked together in your youth and it’d be damn hard to let go of. Walking out and performing in front of a mass crowd would be fkn awesome eh.

It was, it's when you look out and see a hall full of people all singing your songs back at you and in the old days you could hear them over the monitors. Venues way back then were mostly alot smaller though, either theatres or concert halls. The thrill is still the same though whether it's just me at a piano, no amplification in a converted church with a couple of hundred people or a full band in front of 20,000 in arenas, done both this year and that thrill and excitement is still the same in both. That's what some on here fail to understand when they revel in the fact Quo are playing smaller venues than they used to. Doesn't mean the enjoyment for the band is any less. Playing live is what a musician lives for, whether it's 500 or 5000 is neither here nor there. As for the movie I enjoyed it too, didn't think I would. Still was a very odd experience though.

Hey I guess we're both in the business of putting a smile on peoples faces.

Just got back from seeing this at a special showing at my local cinema. How the fcuk did the critics give it a pounding I do not know. I thought it was absolutely brilliant, really well acted by all concerned especially the one who plays Brian May and the Freddie Mercury actor who deserved his oscar. Just go and see it, needs to be seen in a big screen mind. Yeah, it really is Just a quick Quo clip!!
