Where does the time go? Four years ago about 6.00, I finally got my ticket from the agency guy after an agonising wait all afternoon. The pre-gig at The Pint had been grand and when I finally got the call that he would meet me to handover the ticket, I was so relieved.... And then on to Final Fling! Shame it was the last time

Shame it was the last time Stuff has been popping up on my Facebook page from the time of the gigs. Incredible it’s 4 years.

It was an great gig. I know they weren’t a patch on their former selves. But it was a great send off.
Although I remember 2 lads saying it had been dreadful. Where was Rockin and Whatever they said. Oh well you can’t please everyone. Had a blast. Got back to the hotel at about 4. But how expensive the beer was.

One of the best days of my life, a great night out on friday, fantastic weather on the saturday afternoon and a really really great gig from the one and only Frantic Four. I can rembember that I had tears in my eyes during the singalong from Bye Bye Johnny sadly my feeling was right this was the last time. This was the last status quo gig for me and status quo are gone.

Someone quite famous around my parts, who I spoke to a full year later, demanded to know, "Where was In The Army??" and "They played a load of songs I didn't even know. Absolute disgrace. Sure the bass player couldn't even stand up. Absolutely shite" To sum up, fucking idiot!

Myself and another board member on here made the trip over , his effort in going was worthy of a medal personally presented by the four band members at a venue of his choosing , JC did mention him in an interview a while back . Fantastic gig , hotel , pub on the Saturday afternoon , walking around Dublin trying to remember post 85 lyrics to songs such as Restless , Tommy in Love etc , silly things please like ....... . We were both treated like royalty by one of the bands family , from the London gigs onwards , if your reading this , thank you very much we both fully appreciated it .
If anyone attends a status quo or Francis Rossi solo show in the future and he plays the bits he refused to do out of Roadhouse Blues , you should know what to do .

Damn, where did that go? But yes, a great night and a fine send off. Full closure after that, even if most of us wanted it all to continue. I forgot about that walk when we dissed the 'new Quo' and all their watered down pathetic poppy nursery rhyme material. That was quite funny!! Shame we missed the back stage invite huh? The only misgiving but hey, can't have everything. Will never forget it. It was worth the long trip from Sydney for it and I'd do it all over again for the band that were the soundtrack to my life. Fond memories that stand up there with the old days.

Mate , do you remember after the gig , getting ushered out by security near the live CD stall and the Irish lad talking to us about going backstage , was it Ritchie Malone ? when you think about it . Fucking mobile phones and providers , we could have sound checked and everything , shame I missed the calls , sorry mate . We will have to take up the offer of a cup of coffee one day mate !
