I think this wouldn't sound out of place with the real Quo...
Top song, all members on the A game

Plenty of classic Quo I would have preferred to have heard live by proper Quo ahead of this , but its ok . Maybe CQ should have played it live more often -Rare Live Quo thread?

I do get what you mean.. But, Over The Edge is a great song, delivered with a great vocal. One of my faves. But, I ask myself, what's the difference between those two? Love the groove and heaviness..Only thing I don't like is the solo Not disagreeing, but nice to have a debate

I can remember seeing them play this song at Wembley Arena and possibly another venue on that tour.
At Wembley Arena Rossi made the comment that there were far too many "baby, baby, baby" in the song! Think he had a point.
Apart from that, it was good to see some fresh songs in the set at the time. A bit of a nod to old style Quo at around 1:30 to 1:55 with the 'Roll Over Lay Down-esque' guitar arpeggio section, sandwiched between the upbeat boogie.

Does nothing for me…
..like most of Quo’s output after 85, the album fillers appear to be twee lightweight Rossi/Frost or mostly steady plodders from any combination of others with very little real dynamic/light and shade emotion. a simplistic/lazy block arrangement and a feeble sounding impact – not many seem to imprint a memory
....even the “weakest” songs of the Rockin, IYCSTH, Supposin and NTL album “fillers” left or etched a memory…..
…it’s not about the personnel after 85, it’s about the quality of the songs…for me, most of the post 85 songs are just “instantly forgettable”….

Any chance you can remind me of the forgettable one because I've forgotten them...again!

Loved this at the time, and yeah the nod to old Quo in the mid section was very enjoyable. Now I just think it sounds Quo by numbers

Not so much Hi-de-Hi but a Hi-de-Low for Paul. Possibly one of those times when, after a few jars in the bar, there had been some mutual bemoaning of the music scene and united declarations of "they don't write great lyrics and songs anymore!"... a few more jars, then a plan worked out to put things right by putting a show on the road, playing 'classics' from the past?! Who knows what they were thinking?

Edwards is incapable of driving the rhythm like Lancaster did. Really don't like this song, either, with its blatant ripoff intro.
