Thank you I don't know if I heard this first time round ... he mentions that shoulder operation which may have given rise to his septicaemia a year later (he didn't know that of course). It's very poignant because just over a year later he was dead, and he sounds so well.
(Did the estate agency business ever sell anything, I wonder?)

Thanks for posting, I thought it was really interesting to listen to him talking about a range of subjects, both Quo related and his estate agency. When you hear him on great form like that it's still hard to accept he's no longer around.... The irony in this interview is where he talks about surviving the excess of the RnR lifestyle...unlike his friend Phil Lynott who wasn't so lucky. Interesting where he says about them having to sack John, as he was 'too far gone on the booze and wasn't playing very well' I must admit to being surprised to hear him say that as I never thought Rick had any hand in John leaving the band. It does conflict with John's own account of his exit.
