Sorry if this has already been covered, but is this album in addition to PLC or in place of it?

Sorry if this has already been covered, but is this album in addition to PLC or in place of it? Nothing to do with PLC recordings. John & Alan are still working on those songs, hopefully will get a release of PLC next year too.

Thanks for the information. Not a good sign over. Together with 'Halloween' and involvement of members of CQ and its management it is all starting to sound like it is going to be cobbled together from various pieces from the cutting room floor to stretch to an album of content and to all intents and purposes be the same as what they have been releasing for 30+ years. To be followed by a tour of CQ to 'promote' ('due to exceptional demand' and as 'a tribute'), as many different versions as can possibly be thought up (of which a 'real' fan must have all the limited versions and different colours and formats in his/her collection) and of course analysis to see if any could make good advert jingles. The PLC mini single / EP is already sounding like it should have been the only true option. Bloody hell.....in January this year about 99% of people on here were baying for Rick's album to be finished posthumously and released. It's "cobbled together" because it wasn't finished and artist passed away - makes it a bit hard doesn't it? I can imagine the whinging if it got locked away in the vaults. There is no guarantee that the PLC stuff will be any buried treasure either so let's not pin massive hopes on that. Let this album come out and then have an opinion.

Well I'll judge the album when I hear it, but I've just listened to John David's Everybody Knows How To Fly and quite like it, it's very Quo and a good tune for Rick in my view, I can see why he must have liked it.
Don't know how long its been about, but surprised Quo never did that one themselves to be honest, even for a single b side.
Would have suited a John Fogerty type voice too I reckon.

I just read an interview from 1997 where Rick said he really liked Halloween and might revisit it some day to see what else he could do with it.

I stumbled across the text of an interview with Rick from April 2015, where the topic of a solo album was mentioned - see below: -

...and blind-.... could you interpret that one since I can't find my hearing aid either?? The cat found it.... Sounds like a typical Rick-song from the later years.... In a good way! Thanks!
