It was on the original album, but was left off the re-issues of the two album CD sets ( along with High Flyer from Whatever You Want ). Sadly, as the situation at the time of those two album CD re-issues ( Quo/Blue For You, Whatever You Want/Just Supposin etc ) was probably a bit strained, the Lancaster tracks were seemingly culled "for space reasons" ( i.e. they probably wouldn't have had to pay his copyright/writing royalties etc if they didn't use his tracks?) For me, The Wild Ones is by far the best track on the album

So they would have had to pay something towards Royalties on those re-releases.

why do people hate Run To Mummy so much? Great intro, great guitar sound, with some great licks, and a fast paced rocker... The lyrics and the fact it has Chas n Dave isms.

It was a first choice between WYP and Run To Mummy. WYP has it because it became medley and karaoke.
Then its DDMC because it became part of the desperately boring CQ set and also Aquostic karaoke.
The other one is Name Of The Game because its a bit beige and boring.

Name of the game (it's ok) and run to mummy (rocks well but yeah....bit chaz n Davie)
I couldn't pick a third. Class album , better imo than WYW.

I do. And in fact I like a lot of Chas n Dave. But not Run to Mummy. Sorry, that wasn't a question about what you like, PF. What I meant was, "akin to DWMT" - DWMT is chock full of CnD, but people like that one a lot. Because there is good n bad Chas n Dave. Run to Mummy reminds me of Chas n Dave era Rabbit. And that's not a good thing. Dont Waste my time is a great song, any similarities to Chas n Dave is no bad thing per say.
