I'm currently playing "Dogs At Bay" by Bad Dreems-correct spelling They're an Adelaide band
A 90's Adelaide band was The Lizard Train, "She Gets Me" was their best song.
Do any Australian QUO supporters remember The Plunderers or Tumbleweed or You Am I?
If you know The Lime Spiders and Celibate Rifles and of course Radio Birdman, well that's what I'm into.
In the noughties there was a Melbourne band called The Casanovas, NME said they were like Jet on viagra.
Damien on Bass broke a string at every gig.
Back in 1983 Rough Trade signed Brisbane band The Go-Betweens, one of our best bands.
In 1981 I saw the under-appreciated and misunderstood Birthday Party at Bryants Manly Vale just b4 they left to go to England.
I think it must've been 1977 when as a bright eyed clean skin, some older mates snuck me into Frenchs' in Darlinghurst Sydney to see Radio Birdman, what an epiphany, that was blitzkrieg rock. My whole world changed. I found out later that they were influenced by The Stooges and MC-5.
Rob Younger of Radio Birdman formed one of my fave indie bands "The New Christs" One of the best rock bands of all time/
No matter how obscure you think a band is, let me know, chances are I saw them in a dark, dingy Sydney pub in the late 70's early 80's and 90's even into the noughties.
"Rock is my life and this is my song" lyrics from BTO on their NOT FRAGILE album. Not an indie band but I do love BTO.

slowtrain7, just off the top of my head, I recall a few bands I saw back in the day such as many you have already named along with Mother Goose (from NZ), The Guts, Serious Young Insects, The Scientists, The Young Docteurs (Canberra), The Naturals(with that drop dead gorgeous blonde sheila), The Models, The Boys (from Perth), and a band I really enjoyed was Matt Finnish...unfortunately,Matt Moffat the lead singer died back in 2003...he was such a great singer.

Gaz, I've got the Mother Goose album with BAKED BEANS on it. Members of Serious Young Insects went on to form Boom Crash Opera. The Scientists, one of my fave bands of all time, are the catalyst for The Seattle sound. The Boys from Perth are one of the most under rated bands ever, got both their albums. Matt Finnish, Short Note album was sublime in '81. Very sad when Matt Moffitt passed away.

Kim Salmon was on Spicks n Specks one episode a few years ago when he revealed that he'd heard that his band The Scientists were a huge influence on Mudhoney etc. Speaking of Mudhoney, I saw them at The Kardomah in 1990, very low ceiling, with moisture dripping from it. One of the loudest and shortest gigs I've been to. Mudhoney played short gigs out of consideration for their audience, so I heard in an interview on JJJ.
The Models are by far one of the most creative combos in Australian music history. Vale James Freud.

I still watch The Radiators when they play in the Illawarra, love Oz music. Still listen to The Johnnys, Mentals, Cockroaches, Dave Warner & the Suburbs, Skulker, Sunnyboys, Split Enz, Flash & the Pan, Mi Sex & many others. Don't go & see The Angels anymore without Doc, might go & see Midnight Oil again soon though. Oh, & i'm gonna see Ted Murly Gang soon without Ted R.I.P., with his brother taking over, they have been playing Rockin' All Over The World at their gig's lately, big Quo fans.
