'Quo' probably because it was the second word of the band's name... Is "Status" the great lost Quo album, then? Mott The Hoople released "Mott" followed by "The Hoople", of course. But then the band changed it's name to Mott. Does that suggest that Ian Hunter was The Hoople? Am I getting carried away?
