This one, nicked from Mac on the Bright Side, made my morning... Rick really loves this! The things you can do with a worn out song just by having the "right" attitude!

So much more energy in that performance of RAOTW than Quo have put in, in many years... Great clip! Cheers

Thanks Whoppa Choppa. I really enjoyed that. Rick looked so well in that clip. And, yes a lot of energy which was about playing the music rather than 'playing being rock musicians' - if you all know what I mean.

Thanks Whoppa, Ive never seen that and just shows Ricks natural infectious style of rock...I mean even the conductor was banging and it rubbed onto the orchestra...brilliant. Oh Ricky, we miss you mate.

Whatever Rick's faults were in his private life, professionally he was never less than 100%. He so obviously loved performing on any stage and he genuinely appreciated the rapport between performer and audience.

When I see Rick like that absolutely loving being on stage it just shows what a waste the last 20-odd years have been for him. I may court controversy here, but in hindsight I wish he'd have chucked Quo in and gone solo after live aid or formed a supergroup with other like minded rockers...I'm sure he'd have gone on to far greater things...maybe even across the pond and enjoyed himself more in the process.

Good point, although the flipside is that it may have killed him a lot sooner.

Plus the drugs he was flat broke. Overspent on Recorded Delivery which the RC decided thye didn't want released. Quo was a way of earning money quickly and kept him in the lifestyle he wanted. So of course he was going to go back when the oppertunity arised.

Then again, the responsibility of his own band could have been the making of him.? Take Ozzy for example, he did more than OK after leaving Sabbath and most of the time he was so out of his brains he didn't know what day it was.

Whatever we now think of her she was the reason he survived. Though Ozzy had the talents of Randy and Bob Daisley to help him make it. Without those two he would have gone nowhere.

It was a real shame Bob Daisley and Lee Kerslake ended up being treated so disgustingly by the "Ozzie Camp" mind you conning people out of money and royalties runs in Arden family.

I suppose if Randy had not tragically died he would have been treated the same eventually.

No doubt of it, Sharon really is her father's daughter with respect to treating people like shit, using them and then discarding them once they're of no further use or look like possibly overshadowing her main cash cow Ozzie.

So true I know that at one point Francis and Rick wanted to do something with the remaining members of the Small Faces. That never came to much did her father frighten them off. Like he did to Jimmy Page when he wanted Marriott. "Try playing guitar with smashed up fingers". Sharon is the same I never have forgiven her for sabotaging Maiden's set at Ozzfest. Ok Bruce can be an outspoken twit at times, however that was unprofesional and the fans did nothing wrong.

Being a big fan of Ozzy I am grateful for Sharon's contribution to his success and for keeping him alive. I do agree though that he's her meal ticket and she doesn't think twice about walking over people.
