!Despite reports that the star left £10million to his four children, two of whom he shares with Lyndsey, she claims that she has been left "nothing"'.
and who reported the reports

She hasn't been left the house. And the house is his main asset, possibly the only substantial asset he had. It's pretty clear and perfectly plausible. IN a way, and possibly under advice, he's done the right thing - channelled his legacy directly to his children. This is pretty tough on Lyndsay, but it means that whoever controls the money for the younger children (if there is any left when his tangled affairs are untangled ... ) can only use it for the benefit of the kids.

She wouldn't need to be left the house as she co-owned it with her husband.
From a Spanish property law site:
"A man who dies leaving two children and a spouse, who owns just the one property where the wife is in the title deeds as the half-owner, leaves 50 per cent of the property to her. The other half is divided equally between the two children. The title deed will then be amended accordingly to show the three names (the wife owning half, each child owning a quarter). The widow can hold a usufruct of the children’s share until she dies, so they cannot force through a sale (well, they can, but the wife is entitled to live there until she passes away)."

That makes perfect sense. It's the same here except that the remaining deed holder gets the entire house.

Wasn't there a large mortgage on the place though? If he didn't have life insurance to pay it off then there might not be much equity there anyway.
BTW, I just went back to the thread about the house being on the market, clicked on the link to the property details and it says that the agent has removed the details.

Yes being more exact, she hasn't been left his half of the house. The irony being, that the size of the mortgage and the low propery market in Spain may mean that nbody will get a huge amount for either half anyway, quite possibly not enough to buy another house outright for her and the kids (and her mum). And that's assuming that she hasn't got debts |say around the estate agency business) either.
She must be feeling panicky, and I would as well in her situation.
BTW reading the original (Mail) article again, I am taking on board that it probably wasn't the shoulder injury that killed him, it was the cut finger.

Which is the absolute lowest thing on that article. I obviously don't know the woman but, that was a pathetic thing to say. Bitter!

Yes, rather tactless that. "Infection from a cut finger" would have sufficed.

Yes, rather tactless that. "Infection from a cut finger" would have sufficed. But at least that needed to be said. After he died the internet and fan groups were awash with unfounded allegations that he died of a hospital acquired infection.

Fucking hell, we'll be "needing" to know the girth of his belly button next. It shouldn't have been said, shouldn't have been printed. End of!
