I think there is arguments behind the scenes with the family. There was arguments over the funeral and who paid for it and his medical care after his heart attack. His Telecaster has gone missing so all these little arguments will make a memorial more difficult to arrange. wonder which wife hid the tele... Which one needs the money.

They had to use a replica at the funeral because someone would not let them have it.

I hope RPJ's got the tele, not to play in public you understand, but to make sure it's well looked after, - I'm sure he would. Rather than have either of RP's (RIP) wife/ex-wives squabbling over it, or the remnant of "the band"/management trying to cash in on it in some way. I hate the idea of it being neglected, it's too an iconic item for me, (apologies if any of you guys find any of my remarks a bit ott, but I'm still not over Xmas eve...)

He hasn't sadly as it would have been at the funeral if he had it. From the papers. Rick’s body had not even been laid to rest before she was being hounded by the executors of his will to sell her home and hand over all of her husband’s personal possessions – including a guitar, photographs and his prized OBE medal. Rick Parfitt's third wife denied her ex-husband his dying wish and took his beloved guitar days before the rockstar's funeral, it is claimed. The rocker wanted his Fender Telecaster to be front and centre at his funeral. But Rick's third wife Lyndsay, 56, thought the guitar belonged to her and took it, meaning a replica had to be made. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4191790/Parfitt-s-dying-wish-ruined-ex-claims-guitar.html#ixzz4hDlkAlI6

I agree that Rick's missing tele is very upsetting. I feel the loss myself. But how can we trust the report of a tabloid as to who has it?
I find this hard to stomach when on other occasions, when they say something bad about Rick, the response is, it can't be true its a tabloid.

Well she apparently was speaking to the paper directly in this interview. As for his prized personal possessions, she says: ‘My children, it seems, are to be left with no mementoes of the father they have lost so early in life.’ www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-4167986/Cruel-betrayal-Rick-Parfitt-s-widow.htmlI have read elsewhere that they know exactly where his guitar is and it's "Hostage".

If "they" (hopefully not Porter or Quo since it is f**k all to do with them) know where it is, then the relevant authorities should pay her a visit. Children or no children, she should know the score.

Other than obviously something symbolic of him, I must admit I don't know many women who would instinctively think of taking an electric guitar. Its not as if they are going to plug in and take up where their husband left off at all. I guess that makes it even less acceptable in many respects
