I really wanted to read that book..... Now we'll never know. Bollocks. Davy, I suspect that with Porters involvement, contracts etc, we would never have got the truth that we wanted. But we know the Truth

Anything from Francis yet ? To be fair, I don't expect a quick response from Francis. I expect that he will be in a deep state of mourning.

I've just read through 10 pages of comments on the Guardian in response to Michael Hann's great tribute. Fans and non-fans - full of respect and love for Quo. Only one negative removed for moderation out of 10 pages. These caught my eye. photouploadAnd this one is from a journalist who interviewed Francis about Rick around their Glasto appearance in 2009. multi image upload

Dec 24 Adam Hills @adamhillscomedy RIP Rick Parfitt. He once stood next to me at a urinal and said "This must be where the big nobs hang out". 1/2
Tweet from adam hills (Aussie comedian) Reading this put a smile on my face.

I think that Guardian tribute was excellently and eloquently written, so soon after Rick had passed away. To pitch it so accurately with just the right amount of tact, was a piece of skill at such a sensitive moment
Some journalists stuff this kind of thing up, when they don't know their subject properly - this was definitely an exception and one that Rick would be proud
And yes, the fan tributes also do Rick, and Quo, good justice
Yep. Shame they took it off their headlines page before 11 this morning and replaced it with their usual pish 'headlines' Edit - It's not even on the main page of their 'UK' news! www.theguardian.com/uk-news

Just tuned in to the bbc 10'0clock news (for the first time in forever) and nothing, nada, zilch mentioned during their headline summary! However, they did tell us plenty about the queen etc. Utter state-influenced shite

Less surprised by today's 10pm news. But it was on Radio 4 news at 10pm, yesterday, the day he died.

I was referring to the 'headlines' in the top section of the page (I thought that Ricks sad news would be in the top section). 11 other topics there though - including one about bell-ringing! Obviously they feel these are more important to their 'uk' readers

Well it was certainly in the top 2 or 3 stories in all the Sky & BBC bulletins I saw yesterday up until I went to bed in the early hours. Like it or not, it's yesterday's news now and things move on. I'm sure that everyone who would want to know about Rick does by now so I don't see the point in keeping it in the headlines. In the bulletins I saw, a good chunk of time was devoted to Rick.
There will no doubt be more coverage of his funeral and any celebration gig.
