Absolute pits, the feelings mutual I can tell you. Live and let live, Most on this board hate the current band as it is and most on the other board still find things to enjoy. You say we are sucked in and deluded, I say bollox it's people with a differing opinion to yours and what fun would it be if we were all the same? Translation: "Shit, he's on to me. I better come up with a defensive excuse to bat him away" Sorry I am not with you?

That's a two way street, Isaac. While I agree that we all should live and let live as far as which kind of music from Quo we prefer. i do think that that is very much a two way street and it's not like fans of current quo haven't given a lot of not so friendly comments towards ff fans or towards those who prefer the older music of Quo. And there was not nearly every time a reason for those people to become nasty either Victor true it is a two way street and I can see both sides after all my favourite Quo line up is and always will be the FF. But I am a fan of all line ups and still very much enjoy the band today. And there's nothing wrong with that at all I have nothing against anyone liking the current band but the stupid hostilities between fans of current and ff fans or whatever other groups are pretty pointless if you ask me. As long as someone respects my choice in music I will respect theirs, but insults from either side of course will call for reactions.

Oh Issac....We laugh at you and you end up getting all defensive, yet you laugh at us without exception to the rule. deleted by admin How anyone can be sucked in so much and be deluded so much, by one man, is very sad to me. As I type this, I sigh with frustration and just think, "what's the point?" Absolute pits, the feelings mutual I can tell you. Live and let live, Most on this board hate the current band as it is and most on the other board still find things to enjoy. You say we are sucked in and deluded, I say bollox it's people with a differing opinion to yours and what fun would it be if we were all the same? It may be people with a differing opinion but there's a lot of truth to being sucked in and deluded. Recently you were crowing about how Chris Evans was saying how much he loved That's A Fact on Radio 2. The guy has previous of talking up Quo singles only to denounce them thereafter. The whole Radio 2 thing is a con. Four album of the weeks in a row? Are you kidding me?!! So no other albums were good enough? TAF the 13th straight playlisted single yet the 12 previous singles doing f**k all for sales - indicating that people weren't interested. How does that work?! Francis let slip in an interview that the band were involved with Radio 2. One person (of a very high position) was specifically named. Look, I know how you enjoy what the band to offer, and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but when projects come about because of underhand dealings with people they shouldn't be having (and neither should the people in question being employed by the BBC), and Quo's management send callous emails to fans, you have to ask yourself, can you really believe what any of these people say? The truth about what has happened to Rick is slow at coming out, but rest assured, it will. You'll feel so stupid for believing all the shit they peddled out to you. On the other hand, if you don't believe that there's nasty people working in the music industry and the BBC are whiter than white there's no hope for you. This isn't a case of bitter fan vs innocent people trying to do their job. Many people outside of the fanbase have been all but complementary in their views about the people concerned.

I think many people over think this whole caper !
Music you hear, you either love, like, dislike or hate. It is that simple and one of the few things I have heard Rossi saying, in a previous interview, that actually makes sense. The point he was making was that at any given time it is deemed trendy to like certain music and deride other music but at the end of the day regardless of genre or deemed coolness, you should be honest to what your ears are telling you.
I love FF's music I love a little and like a lot of what CQ have produced over the years I hate the acoustic stuff but even then there are a few of the songs over the two albums that I like. Against my better judgement I went to see CQ in Switzerland in the summer complete with Freddie, when on holiday there, and I enjoyed the gig a lot. I also consider myself a heavy rock/heavy metal fan but also love Johnny Cash and like Abba. I hate Queen, David Bowie and The Beatles (all artists you are supposed to like).
All of the above is what my ears/brain are telling me and not some pro/anti stance on a genre of music, band or a line up of the same band.
Or perhaps I am over simplifying things but that is how I see (ie hear) music !

Dreadful. It sold 10,279. The worst selling album in recent times. 13k less than the first Aquostic. Phil Collins sold 17,480 at #6. Won't pick up many sales now that Radio 2 have dumped it and TAF from the playlist. Would look too suspicious if they kept on bumming up an album people couldn't care less about. The heat on the heid yins is hotter than pouty Candice in a pair of fishnets in a Bake-Off oven. First week sales history; TPAOY 14793 ISOTFC 13942 PICTURES 28000 QUID PRO QUO 10757 BULA QUO 14130 AQUOSTIC 23688 ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES 11542 AQUOSTIC II 10279 Forget it, Porter. You can pack away your kazoo. Your acoustic tour plans are trashed.

Hi DT, don't doubt your stats for a minute, but is there an actual official site anywhere where you can find out these figures/sales no's etc...? Sales figures are released every week by Music Week. www.musicweek.com/If you google "Status Quo" "Album Name" and the figure I have quoted for each a chart site with sales will come up. E.g. Aquostic II - www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=194963
