Hmmmmm Malone is more lookalike then Freddie... So My guess is that Regg is out and Frame keep on driving the trademark to the bottom. Sad. Just throw away my ticket to the London gig in december. Dont worth it. Im not worth it;)

Just found this clip of him meeting Rick in 2008... Is RPJ not capable of standing in for his father? Or is the fact that he isn't doing so more evidence of this rift that's being speculated about? I imagine RPJ is far too busy.

My reading of this, is that Rick is retired. They have just not announced this so as to Try and go ahead with christmas tour. They know fine well Ricks likelihood of being back on stage. That is my reading of it, too. Rick is a part of Status Quo in name only.
But it's a heart attack, and the band isn't covered for that. If he'd broken his arm, I suspect the shows would be cancelled.

I won't speculate or make guesses about whether Rick will be back or not just yet. The only thing I hope is that the decision will be his alone about when and where. He should think about one thing only now and that is himself and his wellbeeing.

FWIW - my reading is this.
15th June - Rick's heart attack.
Over the summer, Quo are committed to 23 gigs. 3 have been played so far. So that's 20 to go. Across 10 countries - Europe and the UK, zig-zagging about. Not necessary in a practical order. eg: 23rd July Edinburgh and 29th July Croatia.
His heart attack was very serious. Taking the summer off, means that he has 3 full months to rest and recuperate.
The winter tour starts on 12th October.
I still say its too early to call if Rick will be on the last Electrics tour or not.

Let's hope it's the 'right' trib. Should've gone for Paul Carr, in my opinion. Still - good luck tae Richie. Maybe someone will tell me which trib he's in. He had a Heart Attack last year as well. Probably could not get insurance for him either.

This is what I found. The trib is Heavy Traffic I think.

But if I were Simon Porter or Francis Rossi, I'd start making contingency plans for a Rick-less Quo.

Agreed the most important thing is Rick's recovery.
With the possible exception of the Cumbrian charity gig, all of the remaining summer gigs should have been cancelled and refunds given. If Rick is better for the winter tour then great if not then the same applies, cancel and full refunds - and regardless of what they have committed to and what is insured and what is not insured. If they end up losing (lots) money wise then so be it.....
How Rossi and Porter can contemplate, never mind put in place, anything other than the above simply beggars belief.
I know, for many on here, I am stating the bloody obvious and it has been said on other recent threads but should be that simple. Instead we are discussing the merits of Richie Malone and what tribute band he plays in. Just an utter, utter farce. Not his fault or Freddie's but they should not even be being discussed if the proper course of action had been taken !

I'm looking for the phrase "...allow them to honour their commitments and not let down the fans"Can anyone see it?

I think we are in a position with Francis that he does not want to do anymore Electric after this year. He wants it over with but knows that if they cancelled or waited till Rick was fighting fit again. They would have to re-schedule next year. So I think he would rather get these Summer gigs out of the way. Then maybe if Rick is still not right the Winter Tour will be cancelled.

I fully understand that Quo NEED to meet their commitments, even without Rick. We're not talking of a few quid, or a bit of lost earnings. I would imagine that the sums of money involved are quite serious (seven figures), with cancellation charges on top.
