That Haupstad Rocker t-shirt of Rick's has become as predictably annoying as the CQ set list with CUOY, The Oriental et al
The poster looks like downloaded clipart The original photos are definitely great, but I doubt they'll win first prize with that tour poster. They (=?) should have made an effort. What's annoying about Rick's Hauptstadt Rocker tee, then? It's of quite good quality, you can have it in black, too, with or without bling-bling. His son's got one (or two or three) of these, too, and we all know John Coghlan was wearing a white Capital Rocker shirt on the last reunion tour.
I expected you of all people to be an expert on a Rick t-shirt
It just seems to me that virtually every promotion has to be associated with him in one of those T-shirts year after year. I simply wonder why...?
Tbh though, I'm not really interested in what any of them wear anymore. The fact that John was back on stage was by far the most important thing in respect of the reunion and not what was logo'd on his t-shirt. He could have got away with a pink tutu probably at those reunion gigs for all I cared .
In terms of copycat fan merchandise, I'm sure its perfect for those fans who like to go to every CQ tour and some who don't mind paying rip-off prices for it on top of rip-off tickets...but its never been the kind of thing for me I'm afraid, not even back in the glory days
Btw, the jury is also out about those photos within the poster imo...
In the grand scheme of things though, none of any of this matters anyway because I won't be going to any of the gigs.

Maybe Rick had signed a sponsorship deal with them so he has to wear them as part of the deal in the same way other artists are sponsored by Nike or Adidas.

Me of all people?! What's that supposed to mean?! I don't think it's all about promotion. Maybe just a little bit... It's that 54 label that has designed shirts and T-shirts for Rick especially. There are jackets and hoodies as well, all bearing the Hauptstadt Rocker logo, either with Quadriga or skull. You name it, they've got it. Don't know about copycat fan merchandise. I've got one Quadriga T-shirt from 54, sans bling-bling (too expensive), but then I was in Berlin last October, and it's a nice piece of clothing and of good quality. I've also got an original black T-shirt with Rick, Francis, John and Alan on the front, and another one with the crossed teles. Prices were moderate. And yes, I admit I do wear one of these each time I go to a Quo gig. I never where them elsewhere. And ticket prices have never been a rip-off so far. The golden circle is a rip-off, though, and completely unnecessary. I never had any Quo tees in the glory days, I'm sorry to say. I was clad in denim from head to toe in those days. I remember I did have a T-shirt with that Pop strawberry on the front, the one Rick was given by the magazine in 1974, I think it was, too. It was talked about on another thread on here a little while ago. In general, I'm not that interested in how people dress, but I'm still interested in what Quo wear on stage. I think Rick looks rather dashing all in denim. I didn't really like them all in black and white or with loafers on their feet. I'm not sure about John and the pink tutu, though. Pink's quite an alarming colour, don't you think?

Ticket prices in true context of course equates to value for money - and what each individual decides is value for money for them.
As far as CQ are concerned, usual ticket prices, let alone any over priced ones, have not attracted me to any 'electric' gig since 2009 because the live act has continued to deteriorate with no imagination whatsoever shown since this time. The appearance of the FF within this period of time has emphatically rubber stamped that impression. On that basis alone, before any other consideration, I have no interest in fan merchandise.
