Shocking that somebody thought that Going Down Town Tonight was a better choice for release as a single - the worst track recorded by Quo at that point, imo.

Yes always thought this was a great track showing Quos diversity with musical styles again. Love Old Rag Blues also so that’s two belters from the much maligned Back to Back IMO.

Great track. Still waiting for the day that Ricks vocal take gets released.

Birthday caird pish.
I enjoy a ballad, but when I heard this the first time on B2B as a teen I hated it, and the album was a disappointment overall. That opinion has stuck with me, I find it cloying and forced.
I know plenty fans go all misty eyed over it but I've tried, and got to say, even less of a fan of that fan made 'literal' video.

One of the few tracks worthy of them at that point in their descent into meaningless pop, soft-rock, country-ish rubbish. Great song - would love to hear Rick’s vocal version cos any time I’ve heard it I think of him👍 (But yeah, it’s a stupid video!)

Hated it at the time but grew into it. It's Quo and it's a ballad, but it's not like anything else they've done
People like me were part of the problem, teenage fans wrote letters complaining when the single ad for this hit Kerrang!
Just a thought.... We've debated at length the vocals jiggery pokery that went on with ole rag blues. But it happened with this track too. Francis or the record company?

Great track. Still waiting for the day that Ricks vocal take gets released. Where is it? In somebody's cupboard? I don't know if Universal have a copy, but I know full well a copy exists and is digitised from whatever format it was sat on since 1983.

Woud I be right in saying this was recorded during the 1982 sessions and was put on B2B as a filler..a bit like No Contract? The were scrambling to get an album together to fulfill their contractual obligations.I think win or lose and MT were also older songs revived for this album.

It wouldn't surprise me. Restless was also first dabbled with in 82.
