Can't believe this is 10 years ago.
Anyone got this deluxe version?

Yeah I've got it. Don't think I've opened it
I gather Australia 74 has crap sound so haven't bothered with it
Thx for the link. Long time since hearing Tokyo Quo

Australia 74 still sounds better than the gig they later put on the Quo deluxe edition. At least the instruments can all be heard more or less well.
I have the set, but not dug it out in a long time.

Yes I have it and I love it! It’s on display on a shelf in my livingroom. The Australia gig is really worth hearing (not in headphones though), bad sound but much better than some of the stuff that’s been released in the deluxe editions, and a great gig too! I really wish that we one day will get the entire Tokyo gig released, and maybe then with a bit better mixing too!

Long time since hearing Tokyo Quo It's a soundboard recording, supposedly from Mal Kingsnorth's archive that was handed over to Bob, that was poorly remastered, imo. I've done a remaster job on the audio, and it will be going up as individual tracks for the 50th anniversary.

With this set I thought great things will come up from the archives...And then we got the audience recording of Paris in the Quo deluxe...Thankfully we had Quoincidence and ...I'm sorry, who was the other one helping Universal from the forum? to do a better job with the deluxe editions.

Most of the old live stuff we've been given (or rather, had to fork out for) has been a bit of an insult. Most of it has been unlistenable like any bootleg you used to pick up in the 70's and 80's. And most of them added nothing to the deluxe editions. In fact, they effectively detracted from them.
No effort or money seems to have been spent on them, tidying them up or remastering them (if that's the correct term). Sydney, Mainz & Paris would have been better left gathering dust from wherever they were dragged from. Under someone's settee by the sounds.
This is no reflection whatsoever on those on here who were involved in piecing these releases together, which were otherwise excellent 👍 You can only work with what you're given.

I've also contacted the guy that recorded the Super 8 film and have both a copy of the footage and audio bootleg from him, so I can now patch up the gap in Roadhouse Blues

Doesn't seem Bob have a big lot of those soundboard tapes, sadly (in case he was the one who give them that tape). I mean, those deluxes...
