While we’re at it - can anybody tell me what did ‘c/w’ (sometimes ’b/w’) mean on press ads, way back - I used to buy Sounds back in the day and they always had ads for 7” singles with that on it. I think c/w meant coupled with.

In Quos case, Lies was always the A side single but Don't Drive My Car was picking up airplay on the Radio so the record became a double A side. It was pressed as a double A side. Instead of saying A & B, the labels say A1 & A, or A1 and A2, depending on which pressing you're looking at. The adverts also stated it was a double A side.

Never understood why that b/w c/w had to be emphasised though. We all know a single has a b side of some kind. Unless they were using a well known hit as the B side perhaps. Strangely I never took much notice of this to be honest.
