Christ… it was a while back. 29/5 1975 Gröna Lund, Stockholm Sweden. Oh what a night/evening whatever… It made my life a bit on the Quo-ish side. Some thieves broke into the storage and the scarf from that gig disappeared… 😔 Last gig, same venue, 3/7 2016, No Rick, and Coghlan’s Quo the night before was a bit better. You knew I’d write that.

Deeside Leisure Centre, 30th May 1981. Alan covering for Rick's vocals. If I remember rightly, Alan covered for Rick on the last 2 gigs of the tour at Southampton Gaumont 2/3 June, which was John's last gigs with the band until the reunion.

Wembley Arena 26.5.1981 was one of the gigs that Rick had no voice and Alan had to sing all his songs in the set."

Canberra (Australia) 4th October 1975. See it in my mind’s eye like it was yesterday. I was 16. I forgot to add. That was my very first gig and the support was Kevin Borich Express. Kevin, from New Zealand, has had an extraordinary career as a brilliant guitarist, playing alongside others like Carlos Santana. Kev was instrumental in getting the likes of Joe Walsh and Alan Lancaster to play with The Party Boys. I spoke to Kev only a few weeks ago after his gig in Canberra and I reminded him of his support of Quo back in ‘75 which he remembered fondly saying that was his first big break with an international band and he connected with Alan way back then.

My first time seeing Quo was 1973 Reading Festival, they were on before The Faces( who were awful) I'm sure Rossi introduced Caroline as their new single. They were superb and I was hooked, then saw them in October at Hanley Victoria Hall, great venue, hot sweaty and very loud. I can confirm this, Caroline was introduced as the new single and the Faces were indeed faeces.

I went to the three Wembley gigs and the last night at Southampton, Rick's voice had packed in for the third night at Wembley and still only a couple of backing vocals at Southampton, no lead vocals at all. Andy sung lead on WYW.

I know probably does not count i have never actually seen Quo live, just never got around to it. But the gig what got me fully hooked on Quo was watching Live Alive Quo in the late 90's on VHS wore out that VHS and cassette tape. One of their best performances and so energetic for me definite versions of all songs on that setlist
