It wasnt. Well, not in the UK. It's not the worst track on the album. Got enough of a singalong quality to it and maybe SHOULD have been the single. But it's still not really my thing. I do believe the album went to no.1 in Poland. Which I think is weird. Although I don't actually know why

I used to play that on repeat for a while.

Every song on the album is piss poor.
Maybe aside from blue water.
I remember listening to it baffled as to what genre it was or who it was aimed at.
Coming hot on the heels of don’t stop and thirsty work it’s like an alternative universe “holy trinity” of albums.

Every song on the album is piss poor. I quite like the arrangement of 'The Fighter', it's much better than the 1988 Quo version, but that's it. The rest of the album is unadulterated garbage.

I really like King of the doghouse song, and a few off the album. Luv this ballad.

I quite like Isaac Ryan.
There's a good song buried in there somewhere

This sounds like a different mix to the album version. I'm sure I remember the Give myself to love cd single having a couple of different edits of songs but they sounded just the same as the album versions. Could be talking bollocks though! And can't be arsed hunting out the cd single to check the details at this time of night.

CD single of Give Myself was, 1 Give Myself To Love 3:04 2 King Of The Doghouse (Stripped Down Version) 3:35 3 Someone Show Me (Skunk Mix) 3:38

What do we think of this track? Was it a single? Was he taking the piss? Godawful song with an even worse chorus. Blimey.

This shit definitely deserves to be in the doghouse. Dire. I still fail to understand how Frame could even think he is good at this kind of material. He's terrible. Just terrible. No redeeming features whatsoever. He also looked ridiculous during this period - but fair enough most did. How could he stoop so low after the highs of those classic albums with Quo? Baffling.

The sad thing about this is, it blows out of the water any idea that Francis might have been good at Country and Western in another life. (Maybe another planet?) It might have sounded OK as a ballad, preferably late at night, somewhere dark with a very small audience

That’s actually the first time I have heard King of the doghouse as I managed to blank out that period thank gawd, just terrible. The thing is I really enjoy some of Rossi solo stuff ,the Live at St Luke’s concert is excellent( maybe excellent is a step to far buts it very enjoyable) oh to be a Rossi/Quo fan , tortured souls we are.
