I don't know. It's not great on it's own but it does stop the album becoming a monotonous hard rock disc.

Good little number possibly could have been a single contender? I agree it breaks things up well on side 2..

The The did an interesting take on Hank Williams years ago with their album Hanky Panky, worth a listen, imo. Used to like The The. Infected was a good album. I'll maybe look into that though 👍

Its class and fits into the album perfectly.
I would say all their ballads and country tinged numbers are excellent, right up to even Too Close to the Ground. After that I can't find one ballad of any quality, and that's not just an old Quo viz new Quo agenda. It's just that they were all pathetic, if not downright cringeworthy!

I wasn't to keen on it, I would of rather had Lonely Night on the album and Fine, Fine, Fine, as the B side to the, Break The Rules single.

It’s not for me . I tend to think it gets love due to the album it’s on. Had it been on Thirsty Work it wouldn’t be popular. Same with Alan’s Ease Your Mind This is my truth. FFF let's the Quo album down, without it, it could be my favourite Quo album. Claudie is the same, it lets down Hello! big style. Ease Your Mind is just floss and fills a much required void.

"Ease Your Mind is just floss and fills a much required void." But that's what makes Quo different, there's something for everyone on every single album, all 800 of them. Ease Your Mind sets up Mystery Song like The Drone setting up Caroline, they're almost one song if you play the album. I've not played Mystery Song on it's own for years now. It's all part of the package, track listing and pacing. I posted the other day that I played Side One of OTL and had forgotten what a blast that is. I tend to play Quo albums straight through nowadays without skipping and through doing that I've found some nuanced stuff that I'd missed, they really can play, it was no accident, all that success.

Exactly, this is why I said this is my truth. It is not a fact, Ease Your Mind is just a song I never got, there are some I got and now find bland, there are others I never thought much of but now I adore. The Dog wasn't always my favourite Quo album and I never understood the three versions of Na Na Na. Now The Dog is my all time favourite album, I love every track and love the way Na Na Na breaks everything up.
