I am very much looking forward to the tour! I love seeing QUO play live, it's such a party feeling and I always leave with a big smile on my face. I hope they shake up the setlist, I like the current but there are some songs I could live without if it would mean that I got to hear some "newer" songs..
It's their last tour, they could extend the setlist and just add some songs on there to, many bands do that!
One little switch-a-roo could be Rock'n'Roll Music for I Don't Remember Anymore.. See guys, how easy was that? Throwing away a song nobody cares about for an absolute rocker from Heavy Traffic! So easy, and so good!

Anyone remember the guy who had heard of this a while back via his Iron Maiden tech roadie off of Lloyd ( Quo's tech roadie ) ? . If you are the guy reading this , what's the real story ?

Imo CQ has been more so about making money than making their best possible music. Perhaps that hasn't been the case every step of the way but for the most part its true.
For me the old saying is still true today. Money - you can't take it with you. Another saying - You're a long time dead.

I might write a longer post when I have the time but what I see here is a group of people who think they have a right to define a band's evolution and become the voice of all Quo fans. The people I lovingly call "the Quoboard Warriors"!
Whether you like it or not, "you" are not "them" - you have no idea about how their relationships have developed over the years, what baggage they carry that affects their thoughts, what they believe is right as musicians, or what music they want to play. Ethics change and many things enforce that change.
There are no two Quos ffs - just one band that has gone through immense change over a long period of time, musically and personally. Of course you don't have to like what they do now, but none of us has the right to tell them what they should do at this stage of their career. Nor do they deserve pointless abuse (different to criticism) - it's a free country, they can record an album of silence if they want.
Bloody hell, have any of you thought about what it would be like to go back 30 or 40 years and work with the same people again? Would it be the same?
Like hell it would.

The irony of criticising people for having a view and then expressing a view as gospel....another post from a new poster that strangely sounds like the rants of a Rhino tour log or Simon Porter!

Right...How about you trying to define what everyone else should think ? Ever heard of opinions nd differences in opinion ? Wether you like it or not, you don't speak for all quofans and Quofans have every right to critisize what they do if they don't like it, simple as that. If Quo can't handle that, then they shouldn't even be in the music business at all.

I have some mixed feelings about the last question you asked. I might not be old enough to go back quite 40 yrs - but there are people I was glad to see the back of as much as there were of course also people who were good friends and reminded me of good times that were had
Its normal and part of a process of regrets and acceptances we all face, as human beings, in varying ways at some time or other. If we can't accept responsibility for that ourselves - than we are not going to be able to take criticism (constructive or negative) from others for it.
So, why should Quo (comprised of human beings) be different to anyone else and somehow be above criticism? They too should accept criticism and face truth the same as all of us. Whether that is about who they have worked with, or the product they have sold as their trade.
Feeding sugar cubes doesn't coat that fact. There is no self appointed spokesperson who can, or should, try and tell otherwise....

"There are no two Quos ffs"
Not even in 2013 & 2014?
A lot of people think the current band is a joke, something that has been reinforced by the reunions.
Are they not entitled to voice their opinions in the same way that fans of the current line-up are?
And where can they voice those opinions? Not on the now-defunct SQMB or official Facebook page. They have to do so on places like this and Ricky's board.
And just what did happen to Ricky's board? Just prior to its disappearance it seemed to be under new management... Quo management?
Apart from their crap recorded output, lazy live performances and cringeworthy PR stunts they are clearly trying to silence any negative reactions. That's hardly going to get disgruntled fans back on side is it?
