No Bill Ward then
One of my favourite bands ever. With Bill I've seen Ozzy a couple of times but not Black Sabbath. I'd love to see them, but won't go if Bill's not there. I understand they fell out over money. If true, that really is pathetic given that they're all multi-millionaires

Nice one, IMO the best heavy rock band ever. They were heavy metal. They invented it. Although Tony Iommi said they were heavy jazz... Blues based who inspired metal. Priest were metal.

Blues based who inspired metal. Priest were metal. I disagree with that PF. War Pigs is a metal song. You have to look pretty hard to find the blues in post War Pigs Sabbath. Early Priest, like Budgie and Sabbath were all classic riff-based Metal. Priest & Budgie then converted to reflect more the New Wave of BHM. To have a new wave you need an old wave of Heavy Metal. For me it's yet a tad different again... like Cream and MC5 and the like could be seen as Pre-hardrock, I see Black Sabbath as pre-heavy metal...hardrock with the first beginnings of metal.

We hear very different things then. I hear a lot of blues in all of the sabbath albums. A lot of jazz to. As Ozzy referred to Tony, the master of the dark blues. As as for new wave... A marketing ploy no more.
