I'd have to make it a baker's dozen with the addition of Dog of Two Head - the first FF album Side point but who is Grass who appears on the Dog album and wasn’t there a piano player? No idea about Grass - vocal group? made up name, like Manston/James? were they on the wacky baccy when recording the backing vocals? There was a piano player, there usually is, on this album they used Bruce Foster, although Rick also plays a bit of piano too. On subsequent albums they had additional piano players Jimmy Horowitz, John Mealing, Tom Parker, and Andy Bown on a couple of albums & then a de facto band member post Live!

Did you consult on this publication, perhaps? Never 'eard of it, any good? Excellent! I'm not a musician, so some of it is a bit technical for me, but it's still a thought provoking read. Not cheap though, I'd recommend shopping around for deals. I got mine when the publisher, who seems to specialise in academic works, had a promotion on the go. They seem to do this every now & then, so worth registering on their site.

Thanks, I just read some abstracts and found them really intriguing. Finally someone who sets the record straight with Quo's music being allegedly dumb. Ordered it!
