This was the maddest craziest crowd I’d ever been in.
Having Hold You Back second or third in the set ( I think ) didn’t help matters!!
If I recall correctly at the first announcement Francis asked everyone to take a step back as it was getting a bit dangerous?

I'll have to check now you've mentioned that! Great recording. One of the best bootlegs I've heard

Excellent stuff. The song sounds just a little faster than the original recording - and maybe all the better for it. I can't remember much about the gig at all but it sounds like a lively one. I'll take Cammy's word for it

We were on the RHS so not right in the core so could move but there were a few times we were quite crushed.

That was my first ever Quo gig, so great to hear that again after all these years.
Was down the front for that, loved being in amongst the crowd as everyone jumped up and down you moved around as the crowd surges swayed here and there. Magic stuff.

cammythemortonfan Just checked and he doesn't mention it. This tour saw Big Fat Mama featured in the Mystery Medley, and In My Chair featured in the Roadhouse Medley. Not forgetting the one-off "Alive Alive" Drone.

Quo did book a fair few 'hard rock/metal' outfits around those tours didn't they. Remember 'Honeymoon Suite'. Still, Dumpy's Rusty Nuts probably are well up there. Wilko Johnson as well, especially when Status Quo ripped off Status Quo's idea and booked Wilko as support for the ironically titled 'Accept No Substitute' 2015 tour.

This was my second ever Quo gig - can't remember anything about it!
Talking of hard/rock/metal support acts, FM supported the year before.

I've just been looking through the support acts for around that time. Plenty half decent ones but it seemed to get dodgier - sorry, less akin to my tastes - as the years progressed Tokyo Dragons and Hurricane Party in the 2000's maybe being a couple of exceptions. But as I was looking, I noticed that a tribute act called Quoincidence supported Woodedz in Slough in 2009. It was some sort of Thames Valley Harley Davidson thing. Is it a coincidence, Quoincidence ?

I remember a few years ago Quoincidence was locked in a legal battle with the cover band 'Quoincidence' over the rights to the name, echos of Al's battle over the use of the name Status Quo.

My cousin was one of the guitarists in Tokyo Dragons. They toured with Quo (along with Mike Peters for a few dates, i think) in early 2005 i think it was, maybe a few dates also late '04.
Rick let him play the white Tele.

"Legal battle" I remember I was of strong opinion, at the time, about some matter (regarding Quo) and Quoincidence didn't that I was using their bands name and there was no connection between myself and them so I ended up getting banned from Ricky's Board. I hadn't heard of them prior to choosing my name, and had only actually heard of them when that came around. I can't remember who it was that I was in contact with on the forums at the time, but they managed to get me reinstated by messaging Ricky. No personal issue with them myself - I just use the disclaimer in my signature
