Still haven't watched the DVD or listened to the CD I can offer no excuses other than a strange, creeping apathy brought on by, oh, I can't be bothered remembering I'm sure it's all very good

I think you might be broken, morti!! Stick on 'Quo Live' at '11' [I mean Volume, not at 11 o'clock... though you could do both... I s'pose!] and you'll be fine again!!

The bonus CD has a time machine app that takes you back to any gig they ever played, I was at Cardiff Castle last week. Sad to say that the app time limit ran out on April 11th..bad luck mate.

I think with all that’s happened since this seems way longer than 7 years ago.

In my mind it's only a few years since I've seen "lite", but it's nearly 7 years. Realising I've not seen Quo for 7 years feels very strange, having gone once or twice yearly since 1986
My mindset remains "it will be just the same as before but worse". I will think again if they have a major set shake up. I'm not expecting there to be one though!

Even if there is a major shake up it wouldn’t be the same. They’re still Quo in a way but not really. I have no desire to watch Rhino sing Who asked you or Richie sing All the reasons, but I am interested in newly recorded material by the band.
I don’t begrudge them earning a living though. But I have little interest in watching Frame and co now live.

If I analyse it, I think I probably just got a bit bored with live album after live album since 2008. Never mind the current band, even the reunion set in 2014 was pretty much the same as the one the previous year. And also contained quite a bit of material the present line up play anyway. All very enjoyable when you're there but 30-odd live versions of Rain or Roll Over Lay Down can get a bit tedious sitting on yer ar$e in the living room New material, though, or listening to old studio stuff now and again and I'm with it and full of enthusiasm. I haven't lost my mojo just yet

I haven't lost my mojo just yet I can understand your points totally. There are several live releases, I have downloaded but never listened to in terms of live releases. I have Last night... but have not listened to it. In fact apart from the cds of the gigs I went to , don't listen to much of their live output. Partly because it is so repetitive and largely always has been. The arrangements change so little to. I have been downloading the live stuff from the FB group. I tend only to listen to the songs that they performed just for a tour or two. As time goes on, I try to listen to more and more new music. So there is less time to listen to older stuff. Mind you these days I only listen to Status Quo 70-75 plus Quo live when I do listen to them.

In my mind there are only 2 great live set lists and therefore 2 great live albums or DVDs. And they are Quo Live from 76 and the so called Final Fling. Live at the NEC 82 was a missed opportunity in my view as the gig was amazing (and yes, one of their all time greats) but the production and sound/mix on the album itself was weak and didn't do the band, nor the gig justice. All their other live album outputs have paled into significance and have never really captured the essence and power of the band live. Love the material but just can't get into the sound, lack of feel and/or lack of atmosphere. The Quo Lite stuff is poor 2nd fiddle in my view, bar the TPAOY gig which was as close as Quo Lite has ever come to the real thing.
So yeah, 7 years since I have seen and heard the real Quo. Mind you it was a 32 year gap prior to that!!!
Fond memories from the 13/14 tours. I loved it all. No Rick, no Quo now anyway so no point to discuss.
