a wee bit slow [ok, ok, ok - it drags along, really 🙄] I've seen worse - but given all the press it's getting I expected to have my head blown off. It wasn't.

The new Bruce Willis movie is about a drunken cop who inadvertantly gets in the middle of a plot overseen by Hans Gruber's sister to put Viagra into New York City's water supply. It's out in spring and is called "Die With A Vengful Hard On".

Yesterday. "Robin Hood Prince of Thieves" Nonsense, of course, but all the best films are Sometimes I want to be educated. Sometimes I want to be entertained. I NEVER want to be preached at.

I'm surprised that it was not preceeded with the warning "The following film has flickering images and hordes of crazed Jocks". I always enjoy Americans getting stuck into English historical stories, The Black Shield of Falworth being the best of all with Tony Curtis uttering the immortal line in New York Brooklyneese "Yonder is the castle of my Fada"

Anywhere from Brittany to Stirling via Cornwall Proving the film's Hollywood nonsense approach was the fact that Sherwood Forest was blissful and it never once rained plus it took "hordes of crazed Celts" about 15 minutes to get there. HS2 had nothing on these guys

I generally find the Eiffel Tower or the Houses of Parliament to be a bit of a clue.

What can I say. Got stuck on the sofa this afternoon and this was on. Got to say that the singing is sensational. Citizen Kane it's not but I don't remember that making me smile much.

I read a great review of Errol Flynns 1938 version. It was on one afternoon and the Evening Standard critic wrote "Familiar bangabout".
