Apart from ILRNR and BM I really like the album .ISHK is one of my favourite Quo tracks . Cheers Two favorites on an overall very good album, needing only a better drummer.

I might open up a dedicated section on the board purely for this unloved wee gem of an album. Off topic.....I see the band are wearing stage clothes The new band in 86 wore what they liked on TV....it usually didn't work well... Can anyone tell me at what point they started wearing stage clothes in TV appearances? And at what point did they have stage clothes?

"One of Quo's best ever albums'. Blimey. Still, I do like 1982. Controversial I know. Dear John, Riverside, Resurrection, She Don't Fool Me, even the much maligned Jealousy! That Paul Tickell HAS to be NME? Utterly pretentious. Riverside was not on 1+9+8+2.......It was on 'Never Too Late'

MrWaistcoatFrom reading their interviews, they started off wearing stage clothes in the 1960s appearances. They mention going to Carnaby St and being offered clothes worn by other bands. Then they dropped them for jeans/trainers - the 70s/early 80s. My memory is that they changed from 86 onwards as they reformed with new members. I remember seeing photos of 86 Quo when I wasn't following them and thinking - who are they? Of course I recognised Francis and Rick but they no longer looked like the band I loved so much. Another reason why I didn't follow them for a couple of decades.

I’m always surprised that there isn’t more love for I Should Have Known….I think it’s a nifty little rocker.
As for the rest of the album, Get Out and Walk is great ! Love the riff .
Doesn’t Matter is one I like , as well as Resurrection.
Dear John and She Don’t Fool Me are fine but not favourites in terms of hit singles , for me .
The test are skippable .
Quo didn’t rediscover their album mojo until 1991’s Rock Til You Drop

I think 82 is when it started but not sure, really a question for older fans Certainly from 82 on, whenever you saw Quo live, they'd each wear the same clothes each night (not very rock n roll, but nevermind!)on the whole tour I don't know when that started. The lack of live footage from the glory years doesn't help us From 86 onwards, best you could hope for with a TV appearance is that they did wear stage clothes! Many appearances were very difficult to watch, for me anyway

Thanks MrWaistcoat. I was never that close to the stage at those gigs to be able to tell. Always up in the balcony.

Chas de Whalley lived up to his name Big Man transforms them into something very near Blue Öyster Cult? About as near as the moon Still, mustn't grumble. It was a positive review
