Am I right in thinking that there was a video to You'll Come Round showing them outside in a yard with walls etc. I seem to remember seeing it but I cant find it on Youtube anywhere. Maybe someone might link to it. Cheers. By the way, probably one of their best tracks from the 2000s IMHO.

Cheers stringybob. Anyone know where that is? As already said, I believe it's Lincoln Castle. Although that's from memory at the time. I either read it or heard it somewhere on a DVD.

Hi "QD", you'll find the promo video for "YCR" on one of the 2 x 'Thinking Of You' cd singles, and also on the 'Accept No Substitute' 2015 dvd compilation, hope that helps

There was a video single of that, I just failed to get one at my (then) local HMV. I think I managed to get it since then but I can't remember! Like it anywayh. In the days when Francis still had a ponytail ...

Thanks for everyone's help. The details just seemed to slip by me over the years.

At the time I liked it, thought the main riff was part borrowed from ROLD, which can't be bad, and it had a heaviness which contrasted to the light, twee sound they were normally recording in those days...it gave signs of hope for better releases...
... but that was probably in the context of a long drought of half decent music from the band..
...now it seems dreary and very repetitive to a point of being annoying to the ears...
...never listen to it or any of the recordings in this era and I can see why.
It was all clutching at straws.

It was all clutching at straws. I went back and listened again, based on your remarks, and have to agree. This is the kind of song that needed the right rhythm track and harmonies, otherwise it sounds like a dirge. Damn. What was I thinking?
