Say Ma Kelly sells at least five hundred copies , would that be enough for it to chart in the very lower reaches of the top 100?

No where near. Needs at least double that on an average week for top 100. Maybe 500 for the top 200 although that doesn’t get published to the mainstream.

By the time I went for it (or rather remembered to go for it ), it had gone, although no doubt I'll get another opportunity. I did with Tokyo Quo and the blue vinyl Piledriver. It was supposed to be limited to 750, so it was never going to chart. I know you don't have to sell nearly as much these days but it's surely more than that. And which chart? There are a few!

Say Ma Kelly sells at least five hundred copies , would that be enough for it to chart in the very lower reaches of the top 100? Quo Essential budget album entered the UK album chart at no’28 on sales of 2,567 today. No’75 has 1,300 sales & no’1 13,500. Top 10 sales at the moment are very mediocre. Aquostic charted at no’5 with 25,000 1st week sales.

As you have access to these sort of sales stats, do you have any idea what Blue For You would have sold?It was the 30th best sellling album of 1976 including compilation albums.

Blue for you & On the level in the region of 400k - 500k (estimates). On the level was the 3rd biggest selling album in Australia in 1975 (treble gold) Also the Live album & Rockin all over the world album were massive in Germany both selling over 500k each (Gold)

I once read that teh LIVE album in Germany was the best seller of the year with over 1 million units sold. Can't remember where i read that though..

Whomever is putting these out must be laughing all the way to the bank. Thinking, this lot will buy any old shite if it has the Status Quo name on it.
Rather sums up Francis’s career since ‘82.

Rather sums up Francis’s career since ‘82. its entirely up to the record label that own that material to do what they want with it. Rossi has no involvement, so to him it'll just be another royalties, as well as money going to Rick, John, Alan and Bob
