God, how much do I ramble off on a tangent? Note to self; must seek counselling after the lockdown Why wait? So you feel that you go off on a tangent... how does that make you feel? I keep thinking of my childhood and that big bin man that used to give me sweeties....

1. Big Fat Mama 2. Backwater 3. Forty-Five Hundred Times Bob certainly co-wrote many of their best songs, but this might be my top three Quo songs even including co-written songs by Bob. This!

Ease Your Mind.Lancaster Just perfect. Bounces along with great lyrics and a knock out tune, great solo. I seriously absolutely love this song.
Rain: Parfitt
What a great song.

Alan - can't choose between Someone's Learning, Backwater and Who Asked You.Rick - Mystery SongFrancis - He's written so seldom on his own. But I do really like If You Believe. So shoot me Try it with songs he wrote without Bob. He wrote millions of em !

Just having a look at Quo's first 100 singles (!!) www.statusquo.co.uk/100singles.htmProbably a better question than the OP, how good a hits compilation could we create with songs written only by the band, not including Bob? I think we'd struggle Had a go. Couldn't make one.

Er... 'Mystery Song' is credited as a Rick/Bob co-write. Rick When My Mind Is Not Live Little Lady Rain Mystery Song For You Yeah, but it's my favourite!

For example, the name "Coghlan" never appeared again after the Quo album except on live tracks. Almost but not quite there. He's credited on 'A.B. Blues.'

POMM - A hit on both sides of the Atlantic, a feat never to be repeated
Written by Francis alone
He barely wrote alone again, something I hadn't considered until this thread
I can only think of one reason he doesn't write alone. Perhaps our favourite little show off also happens to be insecure??
