Shocked to see this on here , would have bet my life nobody on here would even have heard of Sabbat, I bought the studio album this track is from after hearing the late great Tommy Vance play it on the Friday Rock Show, blew me away that did, it was not that long after I had deserted Quo the pop group and turned to heavier stuff. Brilliant track but i prefer the studio version. The guitarist Andy Sneap just recently produced Firepower for Judas Priest (and a plethora of other bands) for those that have never heard of him.

I missed [or just didn't 'get'] Magnum first time around - what would you [or anybody!] recommend as a good intro album? G

G I have a couple of compilations with them on those but also got Magnum-The Classic Collection 2xcd. If you get that one it has a few good tracks on it to start with. Most of the songs are early Magnum.

I missed [or just didn't 'get'] Magnum first time around - what would you [or anybody!] recommend as a good intro album? G The absolute classic is "On A Storyteller's Night", which was first in the holy trinity of Magnum albums with "Vigilante " and my personal favourite "On The Wings Of Heaven". From the latter years after they reformed then "Princess Alice And The Broken Arrow" and "Into The Valley Of The Moonking" are both superb. Their newest "The Serpent Rings" released in January is a true tour de force reminiscent of their 80s pomp rock heyday. Go and see them on tour this spring, they're still one of the best live rock bands touring and change set list every tour.
