Following 'Roadhouse Blues' here is another song which influenced the early Status Quo metamorphosis into a rock and roll band. Wonder what did the writers Kieran White and Martin Pugh of Steamhammer think of Quo's 'piledriving' version of their more leisurely blues song?

And this was Quo's third cover song (after Roadhouse Blues and Junior's Wailing) which formed the basis of their lives shows for many years. As with the previous two, Quo took Chuck's almost pedestrian rendition of 'Bye Bye Johnny' and turned it into a real tour de force, according it the honour of finishing most of their shows through the decades.

Another great sing-along outro. Madeline Bell in great voice near the end! Always used to get muddled up between Madeline Bell & Maggie Bell - may be they should have done a duet - having said that, you never see them together ......
