GoGoGo easily the best, really, really good stuff. Yay, good to finally see a bit more love for this track. It's way out of place on the album, but taken away from that I think it's a goodun.

I recognise the experiment! But what I find, after liking a couple of the tracks at the time, is that there is nothing there that I want to hit "repeat" on. Some of the later Quo albums stand up for me because there are two or three "repeat" tracks on them. Nothing here. There are good bits, but for me they are parts of songs surrounded by not very interesting bits. Go Go Go was indeed the track with most potential for being a Quo-like track, but it's drowned in backgroumd keys and multiple voices, the kind of thing that's killed recordings off for me since I was a nipper. Even the live version doesn't really kick ass (or pull emotional strings).
I admit that if I was stuck in a ski chalet for a week with this recording, I don't think I would find it offensive. Apart from Mystery Island, maybe, but you can always put the kettle on, and it's daft enough that other people might start singing along.
