Quo' s album enters the UK album charts at number 6 and if it peaks at that position, they would of had an album peak at every position in the UK album charts top 10.

This is magnificent guys. All I can say is the mighty Quo have proved all the doubters wrong. They called him Uncle Nasty and they called him the coward of the county but Francis has galvanised the band to produce the best album for many years. We really must show our appreciation guys. If you haven't already then get tickets for Hyde Park. It will be Battle Royale between Quo and the Pet Shops. There is a longstanding rivalry there but I'm certain there will not be any silly nonsense between the band members. I think Backbone is a great record with lots of melodies and country rock vibes. See you at Hyde Park...

Another top 10 album for Status Quo, well done to them. Funny old world..when news about a possible new album was being announced, I didn't have any real enthusiasm for it for whatever reasons. Though here I am and suddenly have my quo head back on and a tiny bit excited about them being at top end of the chart.

As a band with an older audience I think it’s a bit disappointing. I find it very surprising they haven’t had an album of original songs to be Top 5 since ‘82.

But if you look at that chart list, I don't know any of the names of those artists. It surprises me to still see Quo up there, even briefly. They've had their heyday, late 70s/80s. I wouldn't expect what you wish for because times have moved on. My teenage self could never have imagined a world without the Quo. Then as I grew up, I realised that was probably unrealistic. But now 51 years after their first hit with POMM, they can still have an album which enters the top 10 album charts. And with all the streaming options to listen too. I'm truly amazed. And teenage me is smuggly delighted. [okay, I've looked at the chart again and I have heard of Queen, Elton John and Fleetwood Mac - but looks like older classic material not new songs. But all the other artists are the current favs.]

The rock version of ‘Trigger’s Broom’. It’s as good an album as they could make, so hats off to them.

Backbone is the bands 50th UK Top 100 album chart entry.. Utterly astonishing that BQ charted at number 10! I'd have said more likely at 7 on the Bristol Stool Chart.
