It's really sad that management must have realised months ago that this album was going to go down really well and yet they couldn't throw a decent amount of money at making a video. Even something cheesy but that at least had the band in. would have been preferable to this bizarre effort.

Holey dooley. Cannot be serious. Surely, some kid messing around making his own music video against a Quo song? Surely not an official video release to go with the single?
Not bad for a school project. Absolutely horrendous as a professional music video.
Is there no quality control with this band? That is so shocking I have to admit I laughed at the whole thing.
Just plain dumb.

Maybe after the new album, Status Quo thought we might need something to slag off, to keep us happy.

The only thing is, it doesn't make much difference in the grand scheme of things. It won't make any difference to what happens to the song.

It’s just a promo in the bigger picture to promote an album imo not the single. At least it has a bit more taste than the cringefest of Dear John 😂

Why is everyone assuming it was Porters decision? It could easily have been the label that wanted a video for it... hence the half arse-ness to it. I'm fairly certain the Last Night Of The Electric filming was done on the cheap also... due to the lack of cameras at the gig, and the fact the colour grading on it is f*cking dreadful.

I've now watched it properly all the way through. There are 3 older Quo fans, men, in their 50s or 60s. We have the t-shirt, the album, the chat about Quo. And the young barber singing along turns out to be a fan who gets his hair trimmed at the end. I think its saying time for the older fans to make way for the younger ones. I don't understand the olde-worlde look of the street, barber's shop. It might meant to be Brixton in South London. I haven't been there for years but I did see a sign which said Brixton. But I think its meant to show the working class roots/fan-base of the band. You're right CG...Brixton. Like you, haven't been there for a time but recognised it. Think that area had rows of small business shops and markets though a couple of large chain stores moved in and changed the landscape. First impressions of the video... I thought it was going to be similar to the video for 'Something 'bout You Baby I Like' initially. Had been waiting for them to shut up shop and head off to a Quo gig!

Ah great to have that confirmed. I know there was a campaign to save all the small, local businesses when they either did or tried to put up the rents to force them out and bring in more chains.... btw - I don't remember that video but it does sound similar.

Had a quick look for a Barbers Shops on Liberty Lane, there is a Scissors Barbershop in Dublin with one review .
Review:
"Very reasonable, quick, no nonsense, asked for a particular style got given what I needed, sometimes your worried your hair can be hacked off but not in this case, barber knew what he was doing, and as I said at a tenner it's very very reasonable".

Coincidence! A tenner is what it cost to make the video.
