What about the 1998 versions of Whatever You Want and Don't Waste My Time that are on the Army CD Single, will they be released as bonus tracks on anything? Good question. They were always part of my draft for "Famous in the Last Century", alongside the several non-LP tracks from around the era (since Mike Paxman nixed their inclusion on the "Under the Influence" remaster), but the rights to that album are no longer with Universal if I'm not mistaken, so I'm really not sure we'll see them anywhere soon. Like Frozen, those tracks were also on my draft that I had done. Disc 2 - Bonus Tracks #1 Famous In The Last Century (Full Version) - B-Side, Mony Mony #2 Whatever You Wan't '98 Vers - In The Army Now, Maxi Single #3 Don't Waste My Time '98 Vers - In The Army Now, Maxi Single #4 Fighting With The Pack etc...

My involvement with this series has been a bit haphazard, I agree I wouldn't put the blame on yourself! We work better as a team, so we can bounce ideas off of one another during the process, and at the time I was being shunned for my Rescued Recordings group. My involvement with PR / RTYD / TW wasn't until very late on. I hadn't even seen the first drafts (or whatever draft it was) up until September 2019, maybe August at the earliest.

Even at that stage we still couldn't quite figure out what the actual order of the RTYD setlists was. Most of the blame lies with Universal's handling of the archives. I kept telling Steve, even when I sent in my first ideas, that "there must be more in the archives" & I always made clear I was only including stuff that I knew of, mostly because it had been bootlegged already...

I was quite surprised that Andy didn't just tell us the setlists, considering he was using 24bit rips from Beta SP copies. Even more so that he still went with my mistake and put The Price Of Love after Paper Plane I knew the setlists for both Glasgow and Birmingham were the same as they both can be seen during the documentary, and the Glasgow show was bootlegged, whereas Sheffield and Wembley were a massive mystery to me. What annoyed me was that I realised far too late that they had a DAT copy for the 18th December show, so we could've had that in full length... and I think they had production masters for the audio from both shows. Albeit, we were hard for time on those 2 bonus discs anyway on Perfect Remedy. I remember at one point we had some of the B-Sides on Disc 1, replicating the Tim Turan Remasters release. Another irritating thing for me is the "Fighting For Love" early mix, as it is literally just the same. The sources Universal supplied to Andy were all the same with really minor edits that aren't even noticeable. There's multiple copies of The Power Of Rock / Fighting For Love that could've and should've been sent to him really. There's a U-Matic tape with 11 different versions on, one having a different vocal take.

Aren’t the RTYD set lists in the back of Just For The Record autobiography.

They are but I’m never convinced things in Quo books are always 100 per cent accurate !
Also, the book was out before QI was born !

Also, the book was out before QI was born ! That, and at the time I wasn't going to buy a copy of the auto-biog just for the setlists Having heard all four shows, I know what the sets are for definite now anyway. Sheffield and Glasgow definitely have the best sounds out of the 4 shows. Wembley is quite a muffled mix, imo, and Rossi had some issues with his rig during the Birmingham show. All 4 shows definitely need remixing however before any sort of proper / full release.

Mike Paxman nixed their inclusion on the "Under the Influence" remaster What does nixed mean? Threw them off, prevented them from being included, whatever... There's an old thread from the OSQMB somewhere, which I read. Mike was asked about songs like Driving to Glory and he said they were not included because they were recorded after the album. I don't find that a convincing excuse. There was still space on the CD & they were rare songs.

Let's see...
Analyse Time was the b-side of Twenty Wild Horses, and released on Eagle like the UTI album, so by all standards should have been there.
Driving to Glory was first released on the "Benzin im Blut" soundtrack, which is on Polydor (owned by Universal), but then also released as the b-side of Little White Lies - on Eagle.
Fighting for the Pack was also on the Benzin im Blut soundtrack and then included on "Rockers Rollin'" (by Mercury), so you have a point there, but licensing one song should have not been the biggest problem.
Obstruction Day was another b-side of Twenty Wild Horses (Eagle).

Now Hear This will have come from a Cassette Copy, hence the tape hiss, as I doubt the masters for the US Remixes exist anymore due to the fact Riva Records haven't existed since the mid 80s. I thought the Now Hear This came from a vinyl rip because of the dropout in Runaway. I never liked the Now Hear This part in the Deluxe. The source used wasn't very good. I have a vinyl rip downloaded that sounds much better than the official version. Another missed opportunity. Would love a good wav file of this if you can provide it?

In the meantime I listened to the 98 version of WYW. Would you agree that it's a live recording with the audience mixed out?

Better Times shouldve been on the album, at what point i wonder did someone think that Tommy was a better track & should be on the album? It's not on the album, it's a bonus track on cassette and CD versions.
