Possibly easier and cheaper to get the rights to the Bombers material than Quo stuff ... Makes no odds when it comes to live cover versions, as long as royalties are paid to the songwriters, which has been done... Alan supplied what he wanted to be on the album and that's all there is to it

Haha yes, just looking at those photos reminds me of those Bombers gigs I saw with John Coghlan on drums...I remember saying to my brother when they came on stage...nah that's not Coghlan...he looked a lot 'heavier' and he had shorter hair. But didnt take too long to see the classic interaction between Alan and John...Alans foot up on the drum rise and that slight smile from John.

Bombers live version of that song was ok..ish but nothing, nothing will ever beat The Angels original song played at their blistering best live. Fk they were a great band with Doc Neeson up front. RIP Doc. Rick Brewster in the stripey shirt playing in this video, later joined Alan in The Bombers.

But hey, I love 'em both, it's always great to have two versions of a classic song. So how can I get a copy of the new one?

The Angels wrote that song and released it on their album Face To Face back in 1978. I'm sure you can still purchase a copy if you do a search..it's a fantastic album.

Just listened to Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again today in the car, it's a download on Amazon.
