Did anybody else watch? I forgot to watch live but I've now seen on catch-up. ( TXM: Thurs 14th March and available for 7 days only) His segment starts at 7.55am and lasts 10 mins. Nothing particularly new except that he doesn't want the questions screened at the Q&A, he wants it to be contentious. So get your questions ready.... I liked this touch from the production team of having Rick always in the back of shot.

I moved this thread because he's not promoting only solo work.
His book and book tour are talking about all of the times with Quo.

Thought it was a good move to have the clips trailer.
Presumably he was wincing a bit off camera when they were showing it. When the presenters asked him why?...he said it was a bit like showing your underwear in public. That did make me laugh and that's not easy with a mouthful of cornflakes! (could have been worse and been eating Shreddies!)
I suppose we are not the target audience for these interviews and its about drawing-in the casual punters, as they say. Hence why nothing particularly new. Enjoyable enough chit chat though.
I suppose the Rick and Rossi double act had its usefulness in interviews at times but always thought they were much better and a bit more coherent when doing interviews on their own.

Status Quo's Francis Rossi gave a brutally honest interview during his appearance on Good Morning Britain, and it was essentially Love Actually's classic X-rated interview with Billy Mack playing out in real life. The rock star covered off everything, from describing his past drug addiction as "lovely", to being forced to change his stage name, as he was told it "sounded gay". Francis chatted to Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway – who bizarrely, also took time during the interview to deny they've had drink and drug issues – ahead of the band's new tour and his new book, which is aptly named I Talk Too Much. The interview played out like an accidental homage to Love Actually's ageing rockstar Billy Mack, played by Bill Nighy, who bragged to Radio Watford about drugs, shagging Britney Spears and admitted his new music was awful. On drug addiction, Francis said: "Yeah, that was lovely, lovely, marvellous." "Probably shouldn't say that, either," a nervous Susanna Reid hastily added. Francis added: "Some people think I've been too honest, I don't think so, I'm not hiding anything. Not necessarily proud of it. Some of it I'm ashamed of." Later, Francis clarified his stance on drugs was sarcasm. He said: "When I said 'lovely' about the D-R-U-G-S, I meant that I was ashamed of all of that… I was being sarcastic and that's one of the things I'm ashamed of, the drinking and the drugs. Not very good. "It was the alcohol that led me to do the cocaine – if I hadn't had alcohol, I wouldn't have gone there. But alcohol does that thing to all of us – blaaargh." Kate Garraway agreed: "I totally get what you mean, we both do, don't we?" Susanna added: "Erm, I'm not sure, we've both been there, to be honest." Kate quickly said: "I wasn't saying that, I was meaning more the sort of nerves – that's not a scoop, neither of us have been there!" Francis finished up the bizarre chat with one final standout moment, claiming that most of the "so-called rock stars" at the legendary Live Aid charity gig – which was recently recreated in Bohemian Rhapsody – spent their time rowing about who got top billing. Francis Rossi's autobiography I Talk Too Much is out today (March 14). www.digitalspy.com/tv/reality-tv/a26819205/status-quos-francis-rossi-good-morning-britain-interview-brutally-honest-like-love-actually/

Thanks for the link. I thought something similar. Francis interview quoted in the Metro link above. " Exposing his vulnerability, Rossi continued: ‘It’s odd because yes, I wanted to be famous but there’s one side of me that’s jack the lad and full of it, and the other side of me that’s totally insecure and I’m always trying to get the person down the middle."

Just watched it. Really poor interview. KG & SR didn’t have a clue what they were doing or talking about. Poor Francis could have had a few hours extra in bed for what that was worth. Looking forward to reading the book though !

Looking forward to reading the book though ! A bit harsh blagult... personally think the presenters did what they were required to do. Kate at least seemed to have grasped some of the contents of the book (what do you expect?!). If the presenters researched every bit of history they would be there til Xmas...give 'em a break. Poor Francis?... they covered his book, his talking tour and even a possible Quo album in just a few minutes of air time. Poor Francis, my a***! Job done I would say.

KG is completely clueless on most things in my opinion one of the worst presenters on tv.SR not far behind. I didn’t watch it but can imagine how it went Cheers

So you think KG holding a copy of The FR&HR CD and calling it the latest SQ album is a professional job done ! Obviously we have different standards. It was a giggle fest !!
