Actually, Porter is dealing with other things right now I hate to think what. He's going through something quite tough currently... I highly doubt the band have heard anything from him for a while.

Anyone have the accompanying DVD they could rip? I've got the broadcast if you'd like that? The only difference is a few camera angles, and titles of the songs pop up at the start

Quick five min streaming blast of both....
Dignified is not for me. So wanted to like AQ1, but accordion not for me. Can understand fans enjoying the novelty but it was never more than wishful thinking that this stuff could be a viable new direction for the band
Dirty - yes, good drums into Caroline. Drums higher in mix than I've heard with Leon before. Would be good to listen properly if only to assess the drummer.....but why would the average fan want to? No Rick, dodgy vocals, more Andy than I'd like, same same set.
The overall sound isn't that bad. It does sound like there's a rock band in there.
Very difficult to see a good reason for keeping an identical set for so, so long.
If they wanted to see some live CD's, go with "greatest hits live", and play only hits. This band could do that. They certainly need to try something different

Thanks for the link. I'm actually delighted to see that. Says a lot about the power of their music that it can survive these other playing styles. And proves that those who looked down on Quo in the 70s were wrong! I watched the concert at the time there was a link on youtube and I could see why its popular. Its hard being a stuck in the mud 70s fan and not enjoying it though.

The thing is, with Music Video charts it will always be older acts that "dominate" them as they have plenty of material to be re-released or newly released (if theyre still going).
Still good on them though for being No.2 against all the other acts

But surely what matters is how many are sold. Not that I care about the charts any more. If Status Quo sell 500 copies and the Osmonds sell 300 copies it doesn’t mean it has sold well.

I've listened to bits and pieces of the album, and the single thing that annoys me the most is the 'singing' of FR...
Sometimes it sounds like half of his dinner is still left in his mouth..
Not impressed

Not impressed He’s sounded that way for years it was only when he had to do it properly for the reunion gigs he was ok. Cheers

why is he doing it though if he can't be bothered to sing properly or deliberately not sing why bother its laziness and arrogance. Spoils the overall concert experience IMO

Spoils the overall concert experience IMO Because touring is the only way artists make a decent living these days... albums just don't bring in the money they used to with streaming services and what not. Peter Frampton only earned £1,700 for 55 millions streams of his song "Baby I Love Your Way"

8/10 for this and the acoustic one in Classic Rock! It's DVD of the Month in Eclipsed! They advise readers to stay away from the acoustic one though.

Hi All, I would say that both releases are going to sound very different without Rick end of. Add to that the fans are still reeling from Ricks passing(R.I.P.) It will take a studio album release to settle any doubters I imagine and don't forget fans will always compare live performances to the FF live '77' no matter what version of Quo plays...
Geoff.
