Accident Prone aside, a load of rubbish. Can't even listen to it now. 2/10.

I thinks its got some great songs on there, although Stones was one of the worst things they'd done until that point. 7/10 for me.

It's a bit strange, but nowadays I quite like most of the songs on the album, but 37 years ago, I wanted to hurl the LP across my room in sheer frustration. As always I had had high hopes, but they were smashed mercilessly when I put the newly acquired record on the record player for the first time. Again and Again wasn't bad, but the next three songs I couldn't stomach at all. Long Legged Linda was alright again as were Oh what a Night, Accident Prone and Like a good Girl although they sounded a bit too poppy to my ears. I didn't know what to make of Stones, and I remember Let Me Fly just made me want to cry in despair. I listened to the album again and again, hoping the songs would grow on me, but, alas, they wouldn't. I was sooo disappointed and couldn't understand for the life of me what had happened to "my" band. I felt so let down, so betrayed. But now that I'm older and wiser I actually quite like most of the songs although I don't play the album that often. Ah yes, I thought the cover was quite cool, erm, hot. So I'd say 6/10... from today's point-of-view.

Funny how everybody likes different things. Stones is one of my all time favorite songs. I know ! Many don't like I'm giving up my worrying and I like that song a lot ! Ah well the differences are good, it would be boring like heck if everyone liked the exact same things Yep, it would. I know a lot of people love Ma Kelly's...to me it's okay but nothing special. To each his/her own. These gloves that I'm wearing are made of my skin.

Again and Again | 6/10 | I'm Giving/Worryin' | 4/10 | Gonna Teach/Love Me | 6/10 | Someone Show Me Home | 3/10 | Long Legged Linda | 6/10 | Oh! What a Night | 5/10 | Accident Prone | 8/10 | Stones | 7/10 | Let Me Fly | 8/10 | Like a Good Girl | 6/10 |
It's not a great album, it's really a that good an album but the main thing that saves this is that there's some bloody good guitar sounds on it. Overall though, there is too much synth and not enough "oomph". Even AL, who can generally supply a few good rockers, disappoints me on this album. My two personal standout tracks are Accident Prone and what was it's b-side Let Me Fly. I really do like the sound of the lead guitar on these tracks plus Rossi's vocals are top notch on these too. I can even put up with the horns on Let Me Fly. So totting up the above scores gives the album an average of 5.9/10. A fair representation I think.

Oh dear, dear dear. I ran a Quo Top 10, Studio albums of the 70s thread a few years back on the official MB and this album was voted 10th. After spending my teens listening to the likes of Dog, Hello! etc by the time IYCSTH album was released in late 1978 I was a mature 21 year old!! but I thought this was IMO worse then the Rockin' album. My favourite tracks at the time were the 2 singles Again & Again and Accident Prone, Long Legged Linda, Oh What A Night and Stones. Having blown the cobwebs of the CD and playing it for the first time in years, I realised I wasn't as mature as I thought all those years ago. How could have I thought that, Oh What A Night & Stones were stand out tracks 4/10

Long Legged Linda! 10/10 for that alone. My favourite Quo tv performance. Hey Mr Porter, instead of releasing Greatest Hits albums every five years or so and putting out bootlegs as "previously unreleased live recordings" to fill up threadbare "deluxe" edition cd's,give the fans a genuine treat by paying for the rights to use footage like this and other worldwide tv appearances, for a DVD. The IIRM/GGH Beat Club performance on the latest DVD shows that it can be done and plenty of other artists have gladly taken a drop in royalties to cover the licensing cost of these clips,to give the fans some rare footage as a thank you for their continued support.

Weakest album by far when it was released, though quite good songs except for I'm Giving Up My Worryin and Accident Prone - both so awfully jolly that I would be ashamed caught listening to them back then. Oh What a Night, Long Legged Linda Gonna Teach You....and Someone Show Me Home are really good though. I quite liked the idea with horns and choir-girls, everything was better than the use of synthezisers (which I still think). All in all somewhere between 7 and 7,5/10
