I hope all his kids benefit from the money. Or will it go in the Status Quo pot ? As the company that owns Status quo has not been dissolved. Given the lack of support from SQ, it doesn't look like they will profit from this. I don't really understand where the big push behind Rick is coming from, but I'm delighted it's there I'm getting sponsored Rick ad's when I'm on FB....he has a campaign behind him

Been listening to both versions of Lonesome Road on headphones. To my amateur ears, the regular cd is a lot cleaner sounding (as to be expected) and Rick's vocals and the guitars all sound very bright. The band mix is definitely dirtier and I think I prefer it that way. To me it sounds like Rick's vocals are a bit further back, so more in keeping with a band vibe. I would have liked Rick's guitar to be a bit higher in the mix on both versions but maybe it's slightly louder on the band mix? I love the woop at the end. If Jo reads this, It would be great to know who it was? I'd love to think it was Rick.

Have to be honest but I totally forgot this was due out. Wasn't until a mate reminded me that I sought it out. Having downloaded on iTunes after a quick listen whilst gardening on Sunday I ordered the vinyl (regular version not band mix) and it came yesterday. Really enjoying the album a lot but it also makes me a little sad hearing Rick belt out some classic sounding tunes one more time.
I guess he was really frustrated in Quo prior to his leaving us.
Bless you Ricky & thanks for all music. \m/
