Hi all
Thought I'd try to compile a list of Quo's original recordings that the band has re-recorded over the years. It doesn't cover live versions, extended versions or remixes, just actual studio re-recordings of earlier studio recordings.
This is the list I've come up with, and I'd be interested if I have missed any, or if there are any other comments!
1988 Running All Over the World (different lyrics, but still a studio re-recording of the original RAOTW)
1991 Brit Awards Medley - comprising Caroline/DD/WYW/RAOTW - apparently each of these tracks was re-recorded for the purposes of this medley, interested in any comments on this
1998 WYW, DWMT from the 1998 ITAN German CD single
1999 POMM from the B-side of the Little White Lies single
2003 Caroline, Junior's Wailing, Down the Dustpipe, WYW, RAOTW from the Riffs album
2010 ITAN from the Quid Pro Quo album, also released as a single
2012 Down Down (for the Coles 'Prices are Down' campaign, from the Australian release of the Quid Pro Quo album)

Kudos from me as well - top production, great heavy, heavy sound, and the extended outro shows just what Quo might have done with this had they been in the mood. Terrific stuff guys!

I’ve just had the great pleasure of listening to the new album, ‘Eye to Eye’, by Swedish boogie meister, BodinRocker. ‘Eye to Eye’ is formally released tomorrow, September 14.
BodinRocker is a long time Quo fan, and just as with his previous albums, that Quo influence is very much to the fore. But this is no lightweight Quo pastiche. Plenty of boogie rock for sure, but lots of light and shade, thoughtful and intelligent lyrics and a great production as well, a really high quality sound.
Yes, there’s plenty of straight-ahead and instantly accessible melodic boogie, and done really well. Vacation, Roller Coaster Ride, Got No Time and my particular favourite, That Old Twelve Bar, are all top class rockers. And some light and shade? How about the bluesy, atmospheric Lazy Day? There are some real epics as well, like Brown Bear and New Sweden.
Another great album from BodinRocker, well worth seeking out.

OK - it seems after a litle more digging that the interview did not run as scheduled on Monday. Nor has it been on yesterday or today (Weds) - Aussie commercial TV as reliable as ever. Hopefully it might appear in the next few days.

Watched the show on TenPlay - no sign of Alan whatsoever. Maybe some other show? Or just a wind-up?

It's crazy that it is such a hard one to find, given that I am sure there must be dozens around sitting in lofts untouched and unplayed since the early 80s! Hopefully, a couple of them might yet surface!

Following on from the thread below about the early 80s tribute to Quo by Thunder Road, I'm looking for something very similar that also came out in the early 80s, a cassette only release by a studio session outfit called The Jaybirds - a 10 track 'Tribute to Status Quo'.
If anyone has an unwanted copy sitting up in the loft or just gathering dust, I'd be really interested to pay a decent sum for it if you are interested to sell. Please PM me!
Cheers Peter
