I refuse to watch any footage of Rossi's Quo or give them any oxygen. No matter how well Richie Malone sings Blue Eyed Lady or plays guitar (and I doubt it is really any more than average judging by watching footage of his pub band, Radar) he is not playing guitar in Status Quo and that is the big issue for me. (as is the case with Bown, Rhino and even Rossi in the current circumstances) Fair enough if he plays Quo songs in Radar or in a band for Rossi but please do not present it as Status Quo. That is pure wrong on every level. I really do not understand 'fans' who can simply turn from thinking Parfitt was unique and fundamental to Status Quo ) to then being excited about seeing Richie Malone impersonating Rick and thinking that this is really Status Quo and for confirmation of this quote Rick (and use silly winking emojis etc., on the other lighter side site). IT IS NOT STATUS QUO. HE IS NOT RICK PARFITT, and nothing but an average bloke and player from a pub band who has not played a single iota of a part in creating what was Status Quo. All sad and sick really. If you don't want to give them any oxygen, then don't bother commenting on here, even if other people are being polite and positive. Simple really.

All sad and sick really. It wasn’t Status Quo with Rick in either or not since Rossi and Rick knifed Alan. I can accept the sad. As Rick and Francis double act and publicity stunts have made me sad for years and years. But sick... he is trying to be Rick, if I was talented enough to play with Status Quo I’d jump at the chance. I do not fit at all into your description of people who don’t agree with you. Yes he stands on shoulders of a giant.

Unspokenwords comments are just a reflection of how thousands feel and rightly so. Fingers crossed its the last ever tour this band do under the name STATUS QUO, maybe they could go under the name Radar and write some of their own material .

They’ve been writing plenty of average to shite material for 30 years under a name they should not have used.

Richie is funny. And he is nice to people on Facebook. It's the same b******t that to a large extent gets Rhino and Leon where they are today. Nothing to do with how they play.

So tonight in Reading they are recording it for a release on CD afterwards & i'm guessing offical live album from this tour. Which will end up in a bargain bin at a petrol near you over xmas besides Anton Du Bekes album.

Nothing will ever beat the original fab 4 I agree but then again that's hardly suprising. However the fact that quo are still going with Rossi as the main man is testament to a great band. It's funny looking back I couldn't bring myself to accept Rhino into the band as it didn't seem quite right but now I see him as a big part of the new quo. Let's give the new guy as much of a chance too. We know it's not the original group but how many other bands have changed members?

I gave him a chance, went to see them twice, but Rhino isn't Quo.
Ri(t)chie and Leon? What do you think?

A valiant effort from Richie…..
….but the whole thing sounds odd.
The BVs are hideous – Andy straining to do the bits that Francis can’t be bothered to do anymore. Great bloke but Andy’s not cut out for lead vocals ( WYW, DDMC etc ) as they sound too strained - he tries to do these BVs in high register and it doesn't work - better suited to BVs in songs that he always did.
The dynamic and sound of the band is all wrong - the keys are too loud, Richie is too quiet – but it's probably not helped by Francis ( and his awful processed sound ) being unnecessarily loud – probably because he’s the boss and that’s the way it’s going to be….
Hats off to Richie, Leon, Andy, Rhino – they get to spend a career “being” Quo. But the dynamic/feel and sound that IS Quo just isn’t there.

Frames' guitar is way too loud for years and years and many years imo.
