Well, you I think spoke of Richie being able to do the Rick stuff, so all it needs is the current line up and a capable lead guitarist who knows the stuff. This is not a "your fave rave Quo line up" suggestion, it's just moving the earlier post on one evolutionary step, like wot Richard Dawkins says in his book PS In fact, thinking about it, it's the logical next step towards what some folks have been imagining, an almost totally Quo-free Quo! All we need after that is a franchise. Then all the ex-Quos can run their own versions of the band under one flag, and do what they best like doing while still running the Quo brand. In fact, we could have a "special All Quo" tour every year with all the current versions in it. History has already taken them back to Minehead, the next step must be the multi-band tour ... I think this might be the coffee speaking

Haha I think I'd switch to decaf if I were you or switch to tea. I do think Richie could easily do any Rick vocals and they should bring back some songs that haven't seen the light of day for years and also let Rhino revert to "backing vocals". The sticking point will always be Francis though and his almost pathological fear of someone else taking the limelight and a young, seemingly pleasant and talented guy with a good singing voice is going to do that.

This is going to sound odd as I am a Francis-led Quo fan, but why do we need Francis for 4500 Times? he doesn't much care to play it, and he does't sing it. It's a Rick-led number. What it needs is a Rick voice which can get the vocals out into the roof. OK the opening guitar lead is one of my favourite 16 bars of guitar music anywhere, ever, but that doesn't mean someone else can't play it. I am not adjusted or adapted to a non-Francis-led Quo, but a purely Rick-led Quo, with Rick songs and Alan songs (which someone with a Rick voice can sing) ... that's beginning to sound like a plan. Besides, no one would believe Frame if he sang "Be my friend". Hypocrite.
