In a few weeks Status Quo are playing a gig at my favourite venue. The Newcastle City Hall. I bought a ticket for the gig to go with my mates. The very people I went to my first gig with in the same venue in 1984.
I wanted to see Aquostic for myself. But the band have decided to play a different format.
I have surgery in a couple of weeks. I still don’t know if I wil go or be able to. The day before I have a scan to tell me whether my liver surgery early this year was a success. I hope for the best with that, the signs have been encouraging. I live life now for the day. As tomorrow may never come.
For me, it’s not Status Quo but it hasn’t been for me really since that first gig. It’s always been a copy not as good as the original. So it’s easy for me to accept this as another version of the band I think were great once upon a time but that was a very long time ago. I haven’t been since the reunion. I will see what it’s like if I go.
We shall see.

Wishing you all the best for the scan and any future surgery pf.
If you're able to go, and I hope with good news for yourself, I hope that the gig will be a fun experience, even if it isn't what you think of Quo.

Go mate if you can, if you don't like it you can shout at them. Shouting is good for you. Best wishes to you and your liver and your surgery. I am still dithering, but I don't have anything so vital involved. Admire your courage very much.

All the best pf. I hope all goes well with the op and you're able to go to the concert. The band is different now but hopefully you'll still enjoy the show, especially more so with your mates there. I went last year and basically said my goodbye's to CQ then when it was allegedly the LNOTE tour.

Hey dominie....shut the fuck up. You'll be fine. Go see Rossi's Cabaret Mob. Death would be a canter after that. All the shite me and you went through a while back means fuck all. Fuck all. It takes balls of steel to fight what you're fighting. Make sure you fucking win, or I'll kick yer feckin baws, ya southern fud. You'll break your foot on old Iron Balls PF.

I hope you can still enjoy the night out with your friends, PF. Personally I wouldn't go to the panto brigade no matter how bad my health is. But it will be interesting to read your thoughts on the gig after all those years. I saw them in 84 as well but was too young to remember the concert properly. So write a long review of the night and you'll be forgiven. Take care!
