I had a vinyl copy of ITAN. That's old school for you. Since I lost it I haven't heard the album in full and forgotten quite a few of the songs on it. But more so with AC which I have never owned. I didn't like the title single at all.

ITAN was played alot all over Europe...it was a hit for the Bolland brothers (six weeks at no.1 in Norway) and a huge hit for Quo (Wikipedia says it's their biggest selling single) the album is just pure mince though.... Am finding that difficult to believe, it outsold Rockin' and Down Down? I reckon wiki have got that wrong, might be wrong though I know wiki isn't a reliable source, but was DD such a big hit all over Europe,I know it got to no 1 in UK....well I dunno.

Red Sky is canny. Would have been interesting if that was the direction they went in. Rollin home is someone writing a Song that he thinks sounds like Quo the rest is shite. Interestingly, Francis said that RS was someone (Dave Edmunds probably) trying to make Quo sound like ZZ Top.

Quite like Invitation tbh. Some lovely guitar work on there.
Actually like the album. Certainly better than what came after it imo

As the ITAN guitar solo was Pip Williams, can we be sure that this wasn't him as well?. The ITAN album was most definitely not worth the three year wait.

After the two previous studio albums also being utter shite, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt this time & went to see them. However, whereas with Pete they were still reasonably Quo live, without either Alan or John it just didn't sound like Quo anymore to me. I only went back for the reunions.

He played on Army, Invitation and some passages on EOTL. You can tell by difference in style and tone.

Love this album first Quo album I ever bought with my own money and It's still a favorite to this day. Though was only 8 years old when it came out and to me it was brilliant to hear a band that I thought had split up just as I was getting into them. Took me a while to get the older stuff and yes that's better than ITAN however the album will always remind me of my childhood and for that reason I will always like it.
