Steel City Quo and Bare Jear are on facebook nowadays. I dont remember exactly, but I guess I joined the MB in 2002 as I remember that my first post was "Soon 30th anniversary pf Piledriver" (I didnt dare to write a "Hi, I'm new here" topic)

I joined around 2004/2005 when I first discovered Quo. Wanted to name myself "LongBluePaperPlane" but got confused with "Login Name" and "displayed name" or whatever it was called, so I ended up with Nino, my real name. And I stuck to that when I joined the follow-ups.

Quoling's most annoying trait was when he quoted your post. He would dissect each line and reply to each line you posted with his own reply in bold underneath, like a teacher correcting a pupil's homework. I remember he vehemently refused to believe that the FF would ever reform for any gigs. He continued to reply to people's posts with "No.. No.. No.. Never going to happen" and the likes. Even when I told him before it was announced he still refused to believe it. After it was announced he went very quite online. He was Francis Rossi.

On the 5th of April 1997, Warren Drummond made this desperate plea... Warren Drummond 05/04/1997 Does anyone know if Status Quo are still together? You never hear anything about them in America. 2017 update. The answer is no!

How much spare time do some people have on their hands, must have been on there at least 4 or 5 hours a day, and really didn't like people disagreeing😆😂

As you say,he didn't like people disagreeing with him.Not sure what he was expecting on a message board but there you go. Total contrast to somebody like Quofann, who had the polar opposite opinion to me and could waffle to an Olympic standard, but was obviously a much better guy and he liked opposing opinions because he liked to debate. Teleboogie was an arse but,to his credit,he did set up a website where we could download Quo bootlegs. Some people however, clearly had no redeeming features at all.

He used it all the time instead of "have" sooo, in his own nit-picking style I had lots of fun pointing out it had a totally different meaning..which just wound him up even more😁😁 Job done👍 haha.

I wonder who on here has been on the Quo boards the longest!?!? I'm the joint holder of that record, having set up the first round-robin Quo discussion email in either late 1992 or early 1993. We expanded so fast that shortly afterwards it was automated by Alex Gitlin, and all subsequent mail groups and message boards grew out of that community. There wasn't a single Quo website of any kind in existence when we started, the first one was created by John-Alex Berglund in 1995. I was on that mailing list.. Exchanged my first bootlegs on there, Sentrum Scene , 1996 with a guy called Kejar (for you young folks it was on cassette (google it) and we placed them in a red box on the road, all done on trust) Anyone know where Alex is these days ?

Yeah I'm still in touch with Alex - he's on Facebook.
