Never believed that version of it...more likely that poster and Rossi were already on board, and manipulated Rick into thinking it was a good idea, his lack of presence and song choice on the first album, plus his over all lack of enthusiasm for the project would my thought process... I heard it in an interview from Rick himself? Does that make any difference? I believe that Rick did want to do an acoustic album of Quo songs but I also believe that he thought it would be earthy and stripped down and bluesy, not the vacuous M.O.R cheese-fest it became. His interview on the FF Dublin DVD spoke volumes about the direction he felt the band should go.

I heard it in an interview from Rick himself? Does that make any difference? Not anymore, Rick played the party line, which included his part in the charade with Francis, and Rick promoted some shite over the years as well, and then admitted afterwards it was shite....he also said I want to be a rocker and don't want to do appistic, I believed that more... Yep He talked up albums, namely DS, FITLC, TW, AC and PR. He even said "best we've done since.." many a time. He then later admitted they were woeful. Even when promoting DS, when pushed, he said he missed playing stuff like BFM.

When all is said and done,Quo have form for this sort of hoodwink. Didn't they say in 1984 that they were giving up touring as they were too old and couldn't physically take it anymore and two years later they returned to touring where they remain,31 years later?.

Rather than quote the people who have quoted me individually I'll just reiterate my last sentence:
IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T BUY A TICKET !!

Rather than quote the people who have quoted me individually I'll just reiterate my last sentence: IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T BUY A TICKET !! But some people have bought a ticket for Aquostic which has now changed to electric and are stuck with them. The last ever electric tour followed by an acoustic tour that has now become electric is confusing to say the least.

Rather than quote the people who have quoted me individually I'll just reiterate my last sentence: IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T BUY A TICKET !! Oh dear. Is that the best you can come up with? People have ALREADY bought tickets expecting to see Quo play acoustic gigs that are now going to be electric gigs. And some of these people won't know the change has been made. Rather than offer refunds and simply notify EVERY single person that has bought tickets, Quo's management have decided it upon themselves to prattle on about band name changes in a rather cryptic press release as well as having the audacity to promote the supposedly last electric album release along with it. Any other artist would be pilloried for attempting this yet somehow it is OK because it's lovable, cheeky chappy Quo. I hardly think the poor ticket sales which caused the gigs to be changed were dismissed as harmless fun therefore people's hard-earned cash shouldn't be either.

Rather than quote the people who have quoted me individually I'll just reiterate my last sentence: IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT DON'T BUY A TICKET !! This is rather at the other opposite extreme to getting too over wrought about band and band members..
It is still valid to hold an opinion of disapproval even though not buying a ticket is an obvious signal of disapproval

We don't actually 100% know that ticketholders won't be notified that the setlist has changed, because the change is too new at the moment. (However I have a sneaking feeling, don't hold your breath. I hope I am wrong.) No, putting stuff on FB and the website is NOT enough.
