Yeah, Brian living in Miami, Cliff in England and The Youngs in Oz. Were a regular touring and recording band up until 2003... BTW 111 what's with the laughing after the name Brian??. Nothing funny about the name. Yeah true although, AC/DC seemed to be on tour every year up until 1996. U2 slowed down on the touring since 2002, but, they've gotten more active as of lately. I thought he sounded stupid when he said that but, suppose with drink and drugs it's near impossible to live a healthy lifestyle ha. Brian is my name. He's laughing at me

Just to state Alan moved to Australia in 1977 AND wanted the rest of the band to follow him there ! Erm not good ! But I inderstood why he went but it STARTED the rot no doubt about it. And FW too easily swayed regarding how easy it would still have been. Your judgement is clouded because you haven't experienced pre IT / Internet.. pre digital recording ! And he wasnt prepared to keep travelling over here either ! Oh so you know for a fact he wanted the whole band and entire management to move there do you? Have you got the quote from Alan himself? Please share it with us so. Learn new facts every day. Can't wait to see it. And no, it didn't start the rot. I could throw a list of bands at you, whose members live in different continents, that are still together to this day, but that's not going to wash with you and you'll blatantly ignore it. I'm pretty sure all band members said at some point that the whole thing of "us against them", the band as a social bubble, you know, jamming together all the time and locking together like one man, started to disintegrate. And I could throw other bands at you where the same thing has happened due to various circumstances (The Beatles, Supertramp to name but two)...

It seemed to begin as soon as they finished playing live. That's the thing, I don't believe they were in the studio 24/7, jamming and creating the "magic circle" as they called it. They could easily have done it when they were on tour or when they were creating the new songs for a new album. I mean, they all done tax years out of England so, I don't think not living in the same country as each other could be a reason for that to stop

I suppose though these other bands never recorded and toured as much as Quo. So that would have made the travel much worse. Plus as Alan said they never ate properly at the time. That would make me more irritable. BTW 111 what's with the laughing after the name Brian??. Nothing funny about the name. Yeah true although, AC/DC seemed to be on tour every year up until 1996. Brian is my name. He's laughing at me That's why I questioned it as I'm Brian as well. Though spelt Bryan, I get defensive when someone seems to be taking the mick. As I had a teacher who used to take the piss out of my name once.

As if there wasn't already too many Brians on this thread (FW and the guy who used to be in AC/DC...) Well let's start talking about Queen as well then Funnily enough, Queen are sort of the antithesis to the whole thing of "bands imploding". Of course Freddie's HIV diagnosis had a lot to do with it, but here's a group that really seemed to pull together to create quality product when other bands their age were just going through the motions.

Nevermind...

True however like Quo now after Freddie passed a lot of fans have a problem with Brian and Roger still using the name.
